Is there a good age to have your first pregnancy?

I would say late 20s and early 30s so you have the financial support and medically you are still able but not worried about medical complications as much.

There is no right age, but I made the choice to have kids young so I could have more time with them.

It totally depends on finances and maturity levels.

Later in the 20's is better.

There actually is an "ideal" age range, biologically.

Too young and you risk lots of problems with yourself and your child, too old and you risk lots of problems with yourself and your child. Look it up for yourself.

Now, biology out of the way, you need to look at psychology. First pregnancy should occur with financial AND emotional stability. You need to love yourself, love your partner (or at least have a stable home life)... mother's moods during pregnancy can change the epigenetics of the child, so the more stable she is during the pregnancy, the healthier the child. Plus, it is cruel to bring a child into a world of instability.

Going by how my friends handled their first pregnancy I would say 21 to 30.

I don't think there's really a right time, more a preference time. But personally I'd like it to happen in my mid-20s so that I have enough time with my kids and so I'm younger and more active and so the possibility of a birth defect happening is lower

Ehh, please let it be after 18, but then, whenever your life is ready -- and I mean really ready. Generally that happens late 20s, early 30's. I know I probably won't have kids until then.
