As I sit here folding my boyfriend's laundry, I'm just wondering how other couples do it. At our house, I do all of the laundry, fold it and put it away. Even his nasty dirt biking stuff. I hate laundry so much more after moving in with him!
Do you do your partner's laundry?

I picked the answer closest to us, but I really do about 90% of the laundry. Sometimes my husband will do a load or two if I am still sleeping or out for some reason. I do it most of the time, though.

I do laundry most of the time. If I'm sick or super-busy, he'll pick up the slack. ~ Arms

I take care of the house. He pays the bills. I hope we can even that out at some point in the future.

I do most of the laundry. But he's a good boy and does it sometimes. He's just way, way more busy than me, so it's just easier for me to do it.

My husband does most of the laundry. He thinks it gets cleaner when he does it and I don't like doing laundry, so it works out that way.

My guys and I share the laundry duties and my girls who are 11 and 12 do their own laundry, though occasionally I will do a load or two for them. We tend to share all of the housework with each person doing what 'chores' they hate least. It seems to work better than any other system.

I do all our laundry except his work clothes. He does them all on his own!!

My wife and I both do the laundry. Whenever a load is needing to be done, whoever is home will do the load. It is probably about 50/50.

I do the majority of the laundry, although my wife does her delicates (I do fold them, though). It only took one time of me washing her delicates to learn that it was a bad idea for me to be doing so.

My husband can't work our front load washing machine. (He's an engineer has designed complicated machinery, but he can't work a washing machine......) I don't believe he knows how to work a hanger from the "hangees" POV, I have to leave his shirts unbuttoned on the hanger or he'll just PULL and pull and pull on them until he pops the buttons and they come off (I learned that when I first moved in with him, and he said he couldn't get his shirts off the hanger and I realized it was because I buttoned them. Jeez.) Nor can he roll socks or fold anything. Nor can he put anything away. I do ALL the laundry.

A lot of the time we do our own but occasionally it gets mixed together.
03/15/2011
We don't live together so we each do our own laundry. I feel like if we ever move in together that I will probably end of doing most or all of the laundry :/

When I had a partner, I did all the washing while he worked.
03/17/2011
We do our own and each others.

*Wishes there was an Other Option*
We both do each others and our own.

We just mix our clothes together and I usually end up doing most of the laundry, although he will occasionally do laundry when he has a day off.

I did my boyfriend's laundry once. He accused me of shrinking his clothes! Then later he said it was probably cause he got a little chunky.. I felt so bad about it. Well, I'm never doing it again! That'll teach him.

We share in the duties. Ours are mixed together.

First I have to stalk it, sneak up on it and capture it!

I do the laundry for everyone in the house. I hate it. I can't wait until I am rich to pay some service do do it. lol.
Oh the joys of a house wife.
Not.

I'm the type of person that just throws everything in together. No separating the whites and colors. Also, I put everything in the dryer regardless of care instructions. My husband has banned me for life from doing laundry.
03/20/2011
My husband works and I am a "kept" woman so do all the laundry
03/21/2011
My husband and I do our own laundry and we always have. It works out great for us.

I picked the first answer.. but my husband and I really take turns doing the laundry.
I do it most of the time, but if I am busy with something or he needs clothes quickly, he will throw a few loads in for me.
He is really good about helping me with stuff, since I work at home full-time, I am able to do a majority of everything, but when times get hectic, and he is off work, he helps.

I do the majority of mine and my husband's laundry. Our son does his own.
One of my vows to my husband on our wedding day was I promised to never make him fold the bottom sheet.
My husband knows it is better to leave all my lingerie, sweaters/blouses and pants/jeans alone and dirty in a pile, than to toss them to wash. I rarely dry my shirts or pants and NEVER my sweaters or jeans. Most all my shirts and sweaters get washed on the Hand Wash cycle in cold with very little detergent and hung to dry.
I am extremely picky about my laundry practices and they change with the season.
In the spring and summer, everything gets hung on the line to dry outside.

My b/f would do the laundry and he has but he has ruined some of my things in the process, so now we each do our own.
