Do you believe it is possible to fall in love with someone after just one month?
Do you think you can fall in love in just one month?

Staying in love is an entirely different ballgame.

I can't say anything with authority, as I am only one person, but I believe that I couldn't love someone in only a month. I may be infatuated with that person, or I may love who I perceive that person to be, but I could never really know who someone is after one month.

Yes. It happened to me. And it proved itself as true love when I saw that person two years later and still had that same exact overwhelming feeling of tingly insides and love drunkenness.
Sometimes it happens in an instant, sometimes it takes time to grow. It's different for everyone.
But, pheromones play a big role in it. Every time I smell something of his even now it's like I've taken a Xanax. It's the best scent in the world to me. My brain says "Yep, you love this dude."

I don't know. It takes a lot for me to fall in love, so I'm not the person to ask. I was dating my husband (well, he wasn't my husband then) and he said he was "in love" after two dates. I was a little.... "Uh. Thank you?" I was only 16, he's older, but I felt weird, because I didn't feel that way so soon.

I think it took me at least 4 months to fall in love with him, but even then, I didn't think it would last. Funny, but it did.
I suppose someone could fall in love in a month. I couldn't, but others might.

I think that a lot of times, it's just lust when it happens that quickly. That said, I do believe that it's possible to fall in love quickly.
Of course it all depends on how one defines love.

I guess I define love as adoring the person. Thinking of the person before you go to bed and whenever you wake up in the morning. The person can make you laugh even if you're pissed at them, completely disarming you.

I doubt its lust because I have the urge to sleep with him, yes but that wasn't my first thought. It was more a joining and clicking of personalities.

I think that you can fall in love in a month. It depends on how much you know about the person.Someone that's been together for a month can know someone better than someone who has known each other longer. It depends on the situation.

Absolutely, even less.

That's a tough question for me to answer. Love (to me) isn't just an emotion, or a way of feeling happy or tingly when you think of someone. Love (to me) is an action word, it's something that's demonstrated, not just felt. To me, when love is just felt inside you, it's more of a fondness than actual real love. Love is demonstrated by selfless actions, by giving of yourself, by making compromises and sharing your thoughts, hopes and dreams. Those kinds of actions don't necessarily come quickly.
I think you can be on your way to falling in love within a month, but to me it would actually be more of developing a fondness for someone in that short of a time. The longer you're with someone the more you fall in love with them - and then you realize that what you felt in the beginning wasn't the deep love you feel for them now.
Just my 2 cents and all that, of course.

While you added further clarification, your question needs to be expanded as others have identified. How do you define love and on what scale, and under what circumstances; there are too many variables to offer a simple and honest answer. My reply is therefore, no.

I think it would just be lust.

I don't think so, but that's just based on what I consider to be love, I think without a universal definition it's entirely possible for someone to believe in love after a month. For myself I don't see it happening though.
04/10/2012
I think it would depend on the people and what they consider love and what type of "love" it is. I love my husband and I love my best friend but both loves are obviously a different type of love. One is something that is based off of trust, being together for a very long time, and knowing that no matter what they'd be there for me. The other is everything they do is for me and our kids. They start and end the day with loving me.

I suppose it depends how you're defining love, for a lot of people it would merely be considered infatuation after a month.

Fall in love? Maybe, maybe not.
Fall in lust? Definitely.

I'm geeking out.
Scientifically, yeah. The chemicals in your brains can do it pretty instantly. Within minutes for males, actually.
But otherwise, I think so
