I'd say women, but the $6000 "Real Doll" is probably the most luxury item (and thus arguably the best) of all sex toys.
Who gets the better "shaft" in sex toys: Men or Women? Do women get the better toys? Men have the better toys?

I feel bad for you guys. I really do. There are only so many cock rings and masturbators that you can use. Unless you like shoving stuff up your butt In that case, you've got a bit more to choose from.

No doubt that women always get better and more toys.
May be because men are so tough and so difficult to please, where women are more simple in sex and they can enjoy it in many ways.. I said may be.

I don't pay much mind to products for males, but that's because I don't need them. I see more stuff marketed for women.

My initial response was "You have a lot more easily accessible goodies to play with. Men have two, the front and the back; not all men go for the back." Women have g-spots (men p-spots), a clit with a bazillion nerve endings (men have the less sensitive glans), etc.
I KNOW there's no official answer to this and its all speculative and subjective. less

Yeah, I tend to agree with this. I think in general, women do have more options in the toy department. But I think we need them.

I think it's a bit of a trade off. Women have more options when it comes to masturbation because you can dream up more things to stick in you than you can stick yourself into. Plus, I think many women have trouble using just their hands to masturbate to orgasm, or simply prefer to have some help in that department. At least men generally seem well equipped to go by themselves.

Well, I think us women have it better. Lol. Sorry guys.
I'm always arguing with my partner about who's luckier when it comes to sex. I say I am because I always have multiple o's and he has 1. I have the wonderful clit and he has a penis. I tell him that I wish for one day he could borrow my cooter. I also tell him that if he did, he'd never give it back! Lol.
I think women have many more different options, but really it's about time we're "allowed" to even enjoy sex. A lot of areas and people still think a woman shouldn't enjoy sex, but should only give it?! Why that is, I will never know. I think maybe all the toys is God's way of making those years up to us. Lol. Maybe that's why we get the clit.
I also don't know ANY male that would use booty toys or even engage in that type of thing so really their only options are pocket cooters and the few other things out there that aren't much different I don't believe.

It's difficult to answer this. EdenFantasys (to me, at least) sells more products for women. But, for example, if you go to a local sex mega plex, you see a lot more products for men. I never knew how many masturbators/auto strokers really existed until I went to one. There's also tons of prostate products and butt plugs these days... the list is endless.
All I wanted to do was get a simple rabbit for myself, and instead was trying to figure out what was made for an ass and what was made for a vagina. Almost checked out with a rabbit-like anal vibrator.
True story.

I think women have a lot more choices
06/03/2011
I feel that women get more, better sex toys. Though, to be fair, they can use them in a lot more ways than we men can.
06/29/2011
I would say women do
06/30/2011
Was wondering if anyone has replaced the O ring, that makes some vibrators waterproof, w/ a silicone/rubber flange that has an opening to screw the two parts together in the middle so the vibrator can be safe anally?? Just a thought.
07/24/2011
I think women have a better range of toys.
09/18/2011
Women have it better with more variety, however, quite a few toys for women can be used by men, if they so desire. (Anything with a flared base and fairly safe material can be used anally, and most vibes can be used on the cock, balls, and perineum.)

From what I've searched on this site, and what I've seen in person at sex shops, I'd say women have a lot more choices. I think that's just as well though, call me sexist (I'm female) but it's a harder for woman to get off so it's just as well that we have more options available to us.

Girls have it better, lucky to be one!

woman have more toys
10/29/2011
It's difficult to say which ones are better because men and women require very different stimulation. Women definitely have a lot more to choose from, but there are really good men's toys so to speak.
10/29/2011
I think women definitely have it better in terms of quantity, and probably quality as well.
There's a part of me that thinks it's somewhat because most of the companies making sex toys are run by straight men.
However, I think it could also come down to the simple anatomy of things. Basically since the earliest records of human's using tools there has been evidence of female sex toys. Stone, wooden, ivory dildos. Finding something that can be inserted into a hole is a lot easier to come across or design than something that fits "just right" around something else ie. a man's penis.
And when it comes to male insertables or anal devices, I think it's probably a matter of demand. When anal dildos and vibes are designed specifically with men in mind, they can become less appealing to women, and vice versa, so most are designed to appear gender neutral. And although only a fraction of straight couples have reported having anal sex on a regular basis, they are much greater in number than gay couples who report having anal sex. Now, there are many a straight man out there who enjoys having his bum played with, but fact remains that MOST of the time, women are the ones being penetrated. And again, because the majority of women do not engage in anal play or anal sex, and neither do most men, so of course there are going to be fewer toys designed for anal use.

I feel like there are many more toys made for women. I also think there are more possibilities (to a certain extent) of what a woman can use versus what a man can. I certainly don't think men are missing out on toys, though. They have plenty of fun ones too!
11/02/2011
I think men don't have as good sex toys as women because an external sexual organ seems easier to figure out because atleast you can see and feel what's going on (not that women can't do this, but it's a lot more abstract to me.
12/07/2011
I think women have more toys to choose from (not so much verity but just more of the same toys are made over and over) while in a way choices might be limited when it comes to solely made for him toys they seem a lot more innovated. And really depending on how adventurous a guy is or if he likes exploring a little anal play a lot of toys marketed towards women can be unisex.
