This is an interesting topic consider the censorship in libraries thread from yesterday.
I was just reading an article about creating a new domain suffix .xxx and it got me to thinking... if ALL porn sites ended in .xxx, it would be really easy to filter porn for computer users under 18. I am sure if you are a determined 16 year old you will figure out ways around it, but at least 8 year olds looking up Pokemon wouldn't find Pokemon porn.
What are your thoughts?

That's absolutely hilarious; I love it! I'd definitely support that. It would definitely make filtering easier and keep unwanted search results out of schools, and just give everyone a clearer idea of what the content of a website is before clicking on a link or typing in an address.
Sex & Lies brings up a good point, though; where do you draw the line between "art" and "porn?" Intention is definitely the deciding factor for me, which is something that might have to be judged on an individual basis. I can't imagine the National Gallery or MoMA having to add .xxx because of an old master painting or a nude performance piece, and I see no reason why an artist outside of the musuem institution should be subject to the censorship that a .xxx suffix might bring about audience-wise.
