I go for looks, since I've gotten to be a pretty good judge of what will work for me. I usually read a few reviews just to make sure, especially the critical reviews so I know what the flaws are and if they're something I can live with. I very often buy toys that are recommended by friends on eden.

How many of you research a product before you purchase it?

I always read the reviews

I have to admit I'm a sucker for a pretty toy.

The reviews, especially those made by reviewers whose opinions I trust are key factors in purchasing items. Also I have criteria that my purchases have to meet in regards to materials and manufacturers.

I haven't bought a product without checking reviews in at least a couple years!

I read reviews very thoroughly for pretty much everything I buy online. I like to make sure I'm getting the best product for the price.

I do my homework, get the toy, try it out, go back to the reviews, and see which reviewers said something similiar to what I have experienced. Then I go to their profile page, see what else they have reviewed that I have and see if they have the same thoughts.
THEN I go to see what else they have said they have enjoyed then start the process all over.
Sometimes, I will flip through the product page, take a gander, and usually something catches my fancy and I do my research.

I go by a few things, reviews, looks, the price, material, etc.

First I check the looks, then the material, then the price and then the review, and only if all of the above please me, I buy.

I usually trust reviews first, looks second. Occasionally I buy less expensive items on a whim, but not often.

I usually skim through a few reviews. If it's something that could be dangerous, I'd do more reviews than for a blindfold.

I add to cart by looks, but i go back and scan read! Lol

Looks are probably more important to me than they should be, but I always read a few reviews as well. If possible, I try to find reviews by reviewers who seem to have relatively similar preferences--that's the most reliable way to judge a product, in my experience.

I do lots of research maybe too much.
06/19/2012
I buy some because it's looks, and others I buy because it has good reviews.

i used to go by looks but my boyfriend got me to start looking at reviews before i make a purchase

I always look at the reviews first.

I stay with in budget first most.
Then I narrow down by reviews on EF and other sex toy stores.
Finally if it's a stale mate between similar products, the toy in the most discrete/ fabulous packaging wins. (total package fetish)

I find products that look appealing and then check out the reviews to decide if it will be worth the purchase.

I do a ridiculous amount of research on products before I buy.

I'm more of a "impulsively buy, and regret it later." type person. But often because things are the wrong size for me.

looks ,reviews, and price looks 1st price 2nd

If it looks good it has to also have good reviews. I put a lot of faith in the reviewers here!
