Would you/have you ever went on or done a paranormal investigation?

I would really like to go on a walk or tour of somewhere with activity. I have had some things happen to me and have also heard stories from other people.

I hate it when the answer spot just don't quite fit. I have had multiple things happen, witnessed alone and with others, and even so called evidence caught on voice recordings and camera. I have had bite marks, scratches and bruises after a good nights sleep. Things lately have been quite calm. The last thing that happened was the mobile over the baby's crib wound itself up and played. Now, I call it paranormal, due to the fact it isn't on the normal side of things, but I don't call it ghosts, as per se. I don't know what it is. It comes and goes and has been a thorn for too long. I guarantee when it's active, no one in their right mind would want to experience it first-hand!

I would love to one day investigate the background of a tall, dark figure that haunted my family for years. As I won't go into details because the events that happened are just too personal, this was a violent creature that disrupted my family for what it seems like no reason. Now that I'm older, I would love to investigate and know why.....

I would also like to visit some highly paranormal places. I love that type of stuff as I've been around it since I was a child. Hopefully, I won't bring something home with me that will terrorize my family like the aforementioned did.

I'm convinced that I was once comforted by a ghost.

When I was twelve or so, I was laying on my bed in the dark, facedown and crying into my arms (I can't remember what was upsetting me, exactly - a LOT of shit went on in my life around that time). Someone started gently but firmly rubbing my back, and it helped me calm down. When I looked up, no one was there. It wasn't not my only encounter, but it was the most positive and the one I remember the best.

I'd LOVE to go on a ghost hunt or something similar! I'm easily frightened, though, so perhaps it wouldn't be too smart of me. Maybe if I had some friends.

I do not have any personal experience on this topic, but I'd love to know about everything that involves paranormal activities. Any fresh encounters to share?

"This wasn't not my only encounter."

Wow, I can NOT write today! To clarify: I've always been somewhat sensitive - a bit less now than when I was a kid, though - and have had many encounters throughout my life. The comforting one is my favorite, but most were either neutral or spooky (often hearing my name whispered, and full-bodied apparitions of both humans and animals) or terrifying (more apparitions, less wholesome things being whispered in my ear), though I think that in most of the latter cases the ghosts were just screwing with me.

While I have had some weird 'encounters' I don't think - but nor do I discount the possibility - that they were paranormal in origin. But on the whole, I'm not a big believer in ghosts or alien abductions, but I do like to watch documentaries on such things, and the ghost hunting TV shows - but that's purely for mocking value. I wouldn't mind even going on one.

I've had a few weird things happen to me, but don't know if it'd warrant a paranormal investigation.

I have had a few experiences. I'm not sure how I feel about them...I certainly don't embrace it, but I don't discount everything either.

When I was a child (between ages 2 and 4), my mother would come to my room to find me staring out the window talking to someone. When she would ask, I would tell her that I talking to my aunt/godmother who had recently passed away. This went on for years, though I don't remember it myself.

When I was about 8, I remember sitting in my bed reading one night, when I just had this urge to look out the window. When I looked in the window, I saw a woman's face. It was comforting and familiar, but I couldn't place it. When I described it to my mother next morning, she said "That's Donna!" and told me about my experiences staring out the window talking to her as a child. I haven't seen her since. She died shortly after giving birth to her son...I think she stuck around to look after him and just popped in on her god-daughter from time to time.

My parents live in an older home, and my mom has had a few experiences there. There is an older gentleman who still resides there apparently, and he doesn't like for new people to stay there I guess. When my parents moved in, odd things happened and she would see him, but then as he got to know them, it settled down. They moved in there when I lived in another state, and the first time I went to visit them and stayed in the house, I sat down in the bathroom to get ready to do my makeup, when an air freshener went flying across the bathroom at me. It missed, but it freaked me out. I told my mom and she just laughed and told me about everything she had already seen/felt there and said not to worry about it. I still don't like going into certain rooms there, haha.

I've had a few other things happen, seen black forms pass by or out of the corner of my eyes...but I usually second guess myself.

I don't know what to do about this one or how to react to it. My youngest daughter, about a year ago, was playing in our play room. She suddenly starting hysterically crying so I ran to the room and she was just screaming and shaking to the point where she couldn't move. When I finally got her to tell me what was wrong she insisted she saw a "glowing green man" come through the wall. A year later she still talks about him and tells me she sees him sometimes if she wakes up at night. I want to say it's just nightmares, but to have started during the day while playing alone one day? She's only 3. And who am I to say she's not really seeing something just because I'm creeped out by it?

My oldest daughter will tell me when someone is about to call, or something that has happened or is about to happen that she would have no way of knowing. A couple years ago, my husband was deployed to Afghanistan. His cousin was in a car accident and passed away. I didn't share this information with my daughter, she was only a year old (almost 2). One day she told me "Mama, daddy crying. Daddy sad." I got a phone call from my husband a few hours later letting me know he had received the news...a few hours earlier, and only then had a chance to call. He had definitely been crying, I could hear it in his voice.

I was introduced into the paranormal at a very young age because I lived with my mom at my grandparents house for awhile, which was allegedly haunted. I heard things and saw strange things before I found out about 'ghosts', but after my mom told me her stories, it all started to make sense. We've heard strange music in the woods, crying at night, moving around upstairs, toys being played with at night, and even seen strange things. We once had something knock over a video camera we'd set up outside, followed by a strange huffing/growling sound and a dark shadow which flickered over the screen and then disappeared. My mom and sister once saw an apparition floating down the driveway for about fifteen seconds. And apparently, I asked my mother, as a child, if I could go play with the kids outside.

Two little girls are buried outside somewhere, but we've never been able to identify the location. My grandparents live at the edge of a national forest next to an overgrown road and several fallen homesteads.

Your experiences have proved that a lot of young children DO have the ability to sense paranormal activities. Just curious, do you want that ability to remain with you forever? Also, do you prefer your children to lose that capability when they grow older, or have it remain with them?

I would absolutely love to have that ability forever. I think it can be unnerving, but only because we are trained to think so. I think that if we grew up thinking that psychic ability or a 'sixth' sense was natural, or a gift, or something to be cultivated, then we wouldn't find it upsetting/scary.

My husband and I watch Ghost Hunters and GHI quite frequently. It's a show that makes me sleepy, not because it's boring but because I'm comfortable with it and it's relaxing. I'd probably be a little jumpy at first if I were able to go along with TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society) and do an investigation with them but I think I'd calm down after a few minutes and just get down to business. I've had some interesting things happen to me in my lifetime. Saw things, heard things, felt things.... you never really know what's out there.

I never used to believe in the paranormal until I started to have things happen.

After my father-in-law died, he used to stay at my house and walk between my 2 year old's room and my room. I was pregnant with my 2nd child and my hubby worked nights. My best friend lived with us and got so scared hearing the footsteps in the hall that she moved out. This only lasted until my son was born and hubby switched shifts so he got home at 12am instead of 4am. My mother-in-law said that he moved on to watch over her. It all ended when we moved out of town 5 years ago.

last May, new house, new town, my hubby was back working driving truck over the road. It was 3:00 am, my dog barked waking me up. I heard my front door open and close then a man ask me if I was awake. I checked all my doors and they were locked. my kids were asleep and nobody was in the house but them and me. when I told my hubby he said he was in Missouri, we live in Oregon.

I brushed it off as nothing until I told my mother-in-law. she believes he is back. I was the favorite daughter-in-law. He used to drive by the house at night and make sure I was safe when he was alive.

I haven't had any experiences with the paranormal, but my girlfriend and her family have extensive experiences with it. Last two summers they have spent the night at Waverly Hills Sanatorium which is ranked as one of the most haunted places.

Only one person I know has ever had something "paranormal" happen to them. Nothing has happened to myself though!

I probably wouldn't go on a paranormal investigation, though my partner would be all over that. He's a paranormal investigation lover! He's never done anything like this, but he loves reading about it, watching shows on it (even when they're totally fake), etc.

I believe in paranormal and it scares the crap out of me. I could never go on an investigation because I would probably cry the whole time. I've had a few things happen to me before, and just thinking of it gives me the chills.

When I was a teenager a few of us decided to check out the local spooky stories for ourselves. Most we were able to apply logic to, but there were some tingling sensations and nausea that was weird.
