I do not have any children. Hypothetically, I cannot imagine taking a child/baby/toddler into a sex shop. Just doesn't seem right. Plus, why would I need a toy so desperately that I had to go at that exact moment with my baby? I can't see that set of circumstances being plausible. But leaving them in the car? Oh geez, that's the worst!

No thats just morally wrong. Besides I think it's a great way to have the state take your children away.

I remember this being a hot and heavy debate on another site of mine and was curious what you guys think? Say you decided to go buy a vibrator and you had to bring your baby (under 2) into the store with you. Would you forget the vib, find a sitter, or just bring the baby in? Would you feel awkward going into a sex store and seeing someone with a baby shopping there?

If the baby is under 5 - 6 months old I don't see the problem.

Spencer does sell more than sex toys, true, but pretty much 85% of whatever else they sell is crude and not age appropriate for a kid under a certain age. But, each parent to their own.

Me too. I remember learning to walk, I was about 14 or 15 months old. Imagine if my first memory was hanging out in the Baby Sling staring at a Great American Challenge Dildo?

For what it's worth. I do remember events that took place before the age of 3. Scared the hell out of my mother, when I started spouting off about things that happened 20 years earlier, which she thought I'd be too young to ever remember at the time.

That was hilarious! I am also one those people who can remember things from an early age, so taking me in a sex shop would have been a bad idea as well.

Children are not allowed in our store. We have an ID booth when you first walk in, with a bullet-proof window, so we can check ID's of anyone who looks young. A few months back an old woman tried to bring who I assume was her grandchild in and when I told her she couldn't, she said "She's only 2". I looked at her with a completely straight face and said, "It's been a while since I took a math class, but last time I checked, 2 is less than 18." And she'd tried to tell me she was too young to know what any of it was and blah blah blah, and I said "It's ILLEGAL! We sell PORNOGRAPHY!"

I would not bring a child into a pornography store. No, no, no and no.

I don't go into sex stores myself, so no way would I take a baby in..

I work at a sex toy store and no matter what the age of the child, they aren't allowed in the store. I've had one mother get really upset over it. Honestly, even if you (or I) am okay with it- it makes other customers uncomfortable.

nope, would never take a kid into any kind of store they are too young to be inside.
09/15/2011
I wouldn't, feels weird. I'd buy online.

No. WTF!
06/22/2012
I probably wouldn't.

I don't have any kids, nor do I want them. I would opt not to take a kid into a sex store. Seems a bit weird. Not that I think it's dirty or anything. I just wouldn't want to get weird questions from the kid regarding why I can't buy him/her any of the brightly colored, shiny toys.

I'm kind of torn on this one. A very young infant (2-3 months old) sleeping in a sling or something? I wouldnt mind. But any child older? no. I wont take my kids into the Spencers at the mall cause I think its crude and innapropriate for anyone under 18 to be in that store.
We have a brick and mortar store in our neighborhood, but its so grungy I wont shop in there. I just stick to Eden.

I dont have a personnal problem of bringing my baby in a Sex shop if i have one and my S/O don't either but where i got a problem is legally, people under age of 18 can't go in and since im a really honest person, getting against the laws of my country is generally out of question. I don't want any problem whit the autority so i would probably not bring up my baby there ONLY because of that.
