I was talking with someone about tea the other day, and something struck me as weird. Does anyone here use milk in their tea? Or do you use anything else? If so explain please.
With tea do you?

I only drink tea black. Or tea with honey, sugar or both. Depends on my mood.

Interesting research done on the interactions between tea and milk - milk enzymes break down the antioxidants in tea. So, there's no point in drinking tea for antioxidant benefits if you put milk in it.
At any rate, I prefer mine naked - no milk, sugar, lemon, honey - nothing. Would rather taste the tea than the additives. It bothered people that I didn't have a sugar bowl and creamer in my tea service, so I was forced to buy those for others.

I don't drink hot tea unless I'm in a Chinese restaurant. I prefer iced, slightly sweetened tea.
Drinking tea with milk is very prominent in England, usually with Earl Grey or other breakfast blend.

It all depends on the type of tea as well if I like it black or not.

I don't drink coffee. I do add milk to my tea, and rarely use sugar or honey. Sometimes you need just a pinch to draw out flavors, though.

With this excellent darjeeling that a local company makes, I take honey and lemon. With earl grey, milk and honey. With anything herbal, naked, unless it's chamomile, then a little bit of lemon.

I very rarely drink black tea, but when I do I always put a bit of milk in it. I picked it up from my grandmother. When I was little, she fed me teaspoons of her tea whenever she had some and I loved it
What I do drink a lot of is herbal tea. They come in many different flavors and styles and I never put anything in them. Although, if it's a lemon tea, I'll put in a bit of honey.

Just with sugar, or sugar and lemon. Milk is just strange
02/20/2011
Milk and honey all the way, especially good black teas. My current faves are vanilla caramel and raspberry royale, so so good.
02/20/2011
Just milk. Well that is for my orange pekoe that i drink every day, at least 3 times a day. If it is an herbal I drink it black
02/20/2011
In addition to milk and sugar I may add Lemon.

I usually just drink it black, but sometimes I'll have it with a little sugar and soy milk.

Sometimes I drink it black. Sometimes with sugar or honey and occasionally I add a little milk. It depends on my mood and the type of tea.

I used to drink black tea with milk and sugar in when I was younger but now I drink just black tea with sugar.

Ibs? Irritable bowel syndrome? I think I might have that, but I'm not sure since I haven't been to a doctor for it. What does fennel tea do for it?

I usually drink my tea black, on occasion I'll put some almond milk in if it's breakfast time and black tea (lactose intolerant) sometimes I like some lemon or lime. Only when I'm sick do I use honey... I just don't have a sweet tooth, with the exception of chocolates

My mom used to drink her tea with milk and sugar (I can't actually remember when she stopped) so that has a nostalgic taste to it, but normally I drink it with a little sugar or honey.
02/20/2011
Tea is just really, really gross for me. I won't touch any of it. So I'm the lone-one out on that.
02/20/2011
It depends on the kind of tea I'm drinking. With black tea I use milk probably 75% of the time. With chai tea I use milk and honey. With green tea or herbal/flavoured teas I don't add anything.
02/20/2011
I've never put milk in my tea but I might try-it seems to be more common than I thought.
02/20/2011
Lemon and honey or lemon and splenda. Usually not milk but I've seen it done before.
02/20/2011
If it's a fruity tea, I don't need to sweeten it. Anything else, I use honey.

I only drink tea if I am in japan. Other then that, never drink the stuff.

I'm from Alabama.
Sweet, ice tea with a slice of lemon,
please and thank you.

I drink my decaf earl grey tea with half and half. I will not settle for just milk

I prefer either PG Tips or Typhoo with a spot of milk and sugar. Otherwise, I like herbal tea with a wee bit of honey. I always drink my tea hot.
