UPDATE: I had two removed today. I decided against general anesthesia, because of cost and not being able to eat half the day (I get really bad low blood sugar) and the dentist really didn't want to do any of the teeth but he agreed to do the two that weren't impacted. It wasn't that bad, really. Yes the pulling and cracking noise was a little disconcerting, but I sucked it up and I'm proud. And, GOOD NEWS: the dentist said I did so well that he's willing to do the impacted ones without general. I'll be saving 600 bucks. It's still $1400, but $1400 is better than $2k. My next appt. is four weeks from today.

I need them removed but I have no health insurance and I can't afford it out of pocket because I have my college and other bills to pay for...so they're growing in and I can't do anything about it.

Mine haven't come on yet *knock on wood*, but when they do, I'm probably going to have to get them taken out.

Had mine out this past April (2012). They caused me so much pain, so even tho it cost me about $1300, I was happy to get rid of them. My oral surgeon was amazing, I had very little pain and actually was able to carefully eat a meatball with my noodles for dinner that night, even tho they advise no solids at first I had a pretty quick recovery.

Gone gone gone, many years ago (I'm 34 now, had them out when I was in 7th grade). Mine were impacted and would never come in, only just cause extreme pain... so had them removed early.

My top wisdom teeth are still in my mouth. The bottoms however, never existed. The buds were never there for them, or my molars.

I had mine pulled since my dentist suggested it. I had them put me right out. When I woke up I was crying like a baby for my dad! Weird! Even though they never bothered me I'm glad to have had it over and done with years ago.

Shop around, I negotiated prices when I got mine removed in addition to a discount card that I purchased from my County Government office which was referred to me by my dentist.

I got mine out about a year ago. All four were impacted. I was in pain for about two weeks, but I got really good at making smoothies and milkshakes in that time

Cool! Hopefully you have insurance.. otherwise it's really expensive! It's worth it though for your health.

I had mine pulled when I was younger. They were growing in horizontally and really deep down near the bone. They were pushing my bottom teeth and causing them to shift. Since I've had braces twice, I didn't feel like having them a third time to re-straighten my teeth so they were pulled when I was 15.

I was born with only three because I'm a genetic anomaly/more evolved than most folks XD. The bottom two are out - nitrous oxide helped me get through that procedure as a teenager. The top one is still in and doesn't bother me - it's fully grown in like a regular tooth. My new dentist wants to take it out but it might just be fine
