What would you do about my new neighbor.

What would you do? Freak out, grab a gun, call the local wildlife department or....
Is that a bear? Wow! I would probably leave it alone. If I feel threatened then I would call the local wildlife department and see if they could help.

HA!

That's a great mental image!

I've only been up that way once when I dated a girl from Iron Mountain. It really is awesome territory!

HAHA Sasquatch comes to mind.

We are really enjoying the country and nice friendly people, when we were unloading the moving truck the local pastor stopped with some chicken and all the neighbors chipped in to help unload, unheard of in Colorado since I was like 5 years old.

Not shoot to scare off the deer just the cayoties and foxes

Ive never really became to framiliar with any of the benellis guns. Ive heard some good things about them, but never owned one.

Ime more of a rugger, mouser, glock, savage, FN herstal, sig, berrta, tauras owner and fan and I only like S&W for my 44 magnum

Honestly I have only owned three gun's, my Benelli, a 2 pistol and a Remington 30-06. I really prefer archery, quiet and you have to get close, makes for more of a challenge, for hunting that is.

Bears get driven into more densely human-populated areas increasingly due to development. So as scary as it is for you, it sucks for them too. You can call someone, but I don't think it's a good idea unless this dude is doing something menacing. I grew up with those guys raiding our garbages every night; black bears are not aggressive unless you disturb them with their young. They're really mild mannered and very easy to spook. They'll run before they'll ever get near you, actually. They're sorta wusses

So very true S,L&L, in Colorado it happens with more and more frequency along the mountains edge.

For me and the family it was a great thrill to see one so close, we were not scared, like you said they will run away unless they are with young.

Just last week there was a young bear that wandered in to the city (Upper Michigan)and was found eating some apples in a tree, the local law enforcement just let it finish eating and leave on its own. That was so cool, it even made the local news.

Until they decide that the point of humans is to provide them with a buffet. I do my best to make sure they never make that connection - besides, trash and human food isn't good for them at all.

HAHA...

Victoria, I will keep everyone updated.

Right now we are having a problem with coyotes and they are eating our chickens, one person I talked to said a sure fire way to deal with them (coyotes) is to put out bait for the bears. Go figure! I know better ways of dealing with them though.

BWAHA! Lions suck. Bears fan by default because of My Man being a Bears fan. He and his buddy used to buy Lions tickets to see the Bears, when they played Detroit. Because they were so bad no one would go to the games.

I'm messing with you. But, they did used to drive to Detroit because it was cheaper and easier to buy than Bears tickets.
