Fine, straight hair. Hated it for years and years, now I just tolerate it. My first perm at 8 had me looking like Little Orphan Annie, my later perms were frizz-fests. Only one style looks decent on me (like it is in my icon), and I somehow end up with men who want me to grow it long (and it looks like a horse tail when it is). Straight hair is so boring - why do those of you with texture want to make yours look limp and listless??
What type of hair do you have naturally?

I had straight hair when I was younger but after losing all my hair during treatment a couple of years ago I 'think' it has come back wavy, I haven't really let it grow long enough to tell yet!

I have naturally straight hair and I like it that way. Depending on how I let it dry after showering it can have a bit of wave to it.

It's naturally wavy but the longer it gets, the straighter it gets. It's waist length now and almost straight naturally. I still flat iron it to straighten the ends, which curl

I usually just leave my hair natural, although occasionally I'll straighten it

I answered 'other' because my hair is straight for the most part, but at the back of my head, I have a wavy patch. Thankfully, this is covered by the straight hair above it, so it doesn't look weird & I don't have to do anything to it. I didn't even know it was there until a few years ago when someone cutting my hair mentioned it!
When I was younger, my hair was wavy, almost curly, but since it's so long, I think the weight pulls most of the wave out of it. I like having straight hair, I don't have to flat iron it, or do anything to it, but if I want to, I can curl it, which looks pretty & it's nice to have the options.
Most of my adulthood, I've worn it pulled straight back into a low ponytail, chignon, or twisted bun type thingy, as I detest hair in my face because it makes me itch. I could cut it short, but I don't look good with short hair, it looks most flattering pulled away from my face, imo.

Mine is straight with one random wave in it, and it's super hard to do anything to it.

Your hair is probably wavy and puffy because it's fried from using all that heat. That sounds really familiar because it happened to my hair after I swam in chlorine and blow dried consistently.

It's not very thick or anything, but like an airy puff. Lol. If that makes sense. I straighten daily. I used to just wear it curly, but my hair style just doesn't look the loveliest curly. I like my hair okay. The thing I don't like is how it's so puffy until I iron it, then it's so flat and lifeless that I can literally tease the F out of it, add hairspray and charge powder and it STILL falls right back flat on my head. That's a pain for sure.

Very curly. I'm never really able to know what length my hair is because of the curl, so it constantly feels like its at my shoulders never getting longer. I have damaged my hair a lot by flat ironing it and brushing it, but i've been trying to really take care of it so i will have beautiful curls for many, many years to come.

Mine is a mixture of wavy and curly hair, I hate it but I don't do anything with it on a daily base.

Ever since I cut my hair off shortly before turning 19, my hair grew back a ashy blond and wavy. We still don't understand how it went from normal blond and straight to ashy blond and wavy.

Straight.
