What's your relationship with exercise?

Contributor: Blinker Blinker
I've always loathed any sort of physical activity that wasn't sex, but lately I've been itching to get active. Just after a few days of walking on my treadmill and lifting light weights, I've noticed more energy and a bliss boost. Maybe it's a way to channel my horniness and frustration? I always thought that's what masturbation is for...

Anhyoo, I'm curious to find out how busy the rest of you get. And for this poll, don't count sex as an exercise. Hey, I had to make some limitations.

I hit the gym or work out at home more than once a day. And I also tan and do laundry.

I try and make time for it 4-5 days a week. Some weeks the sessions are longer than others

But seriously, I lead a pretty active life at my job, so work-out is sort of redundant.

I totally want to get more active, I just don't have the freaking time, lol. Although delivering car parts does give me a decent amount of exercise.

Well, I go to the gym four times a week. But on Sundays I just do meditative yoga, which is laying around and breathing..not really strenuous. So I guess I work out only three times a week.

I also wanted to choose "I don't wanna" because I NEVER want to work out. I just dread it, blehhhhh

As long as I take my B vitamins and random GNC energy crap I can muster up the energy to do it. Otherwise, I'd rather sleep alllll day.

Well, I have a work out buddy..which was supposed to help motivate me, but she's pretty lazy too. So, we can easily talk each other out of going and half the time once we're there she's like "wanna go grab dinner instead???" Soooo not helping!!!

I work out 4 times/week. I push myself harder than most people, but then I have an excellent personal trainer - my son. I definitely lift more weight than any other woman my age at the gym. Maybe that doesn't say very much.

I try to work out 4 times a week at least, but that doesn't always happen lol. In general though, 30 min of cardio (usually on the elliptical) then some core training followed by a bit of weight training. I'm looking to get a stripper pole though and add pole dancing to my work out routine

What is that? I've seen infomercials on the TV but if I watch 5 seconds of an infomercial, I get sucked in and buy everything.

I voted for a couple of times a week, but the truth is that some weeks I might not do much of anything except a little yoga or Tai Chi and then other weeks I work out in some form every day. Regardless, I DAILY walk outside (on days that are not storming or have below 20 degrees Fahrenheit temps) between 2-8 miles. Hitting the gym real hard? NO,I hate to sweat! So it is always a no-sweat or low-sweat workout for me...Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates, Walking, Swimming, ect.

I like the sweat because my stinky self is how I know I did a good job. But then again even Yoga makes me sweat. Yoga is tougher than a lot of people realize! I did it twice a week for a year and still can't do downward dog because my hamstrings are so tight.

I find time to exercise in some form everyday. I do hardcore workouts 2-3 times a week. But at least find time to work out 20-30 minutes every day (even working out 10 minutes a day can increase your metabolism to burn an extra 300 calories a day). I have made workout routines for my friends and acquaintances because a lot of what I do (mostly abs, legs, and butt stuff)...I made up myself and didn't read anywhere. If it burns...it works! Like Blinker, I also love being sweaty at the end...and sore the next day because it means I worked my ass off!

Saying you have no time, in no excuse. That's just a way to justify putting it off in your head. For example: I do situps while watching tv or driving on long trips, or heel raises when cooking, putting dishes away etc. HELL...even sitting up instead of laying down while writing your reviews burns more calories!

Or just change the way you go through your daily routine...I take the stairs instead of elevators and park further away in parking lots. I walk to pay my rent instead of drive etc. etc.

I dance, A LOT. That is an awesome workout.

I've always been too self-conscious to really enjoy going to the gym. I was the fat kid in class, so it's something I've fought with my entire life (well, after the age of 8).

I do try to get out an walk when I can, but this summer heat is too much in the middle of the day (when I'm usually working). Later in the day? HA! No thanks, this area gets a little too active for my tastes after 5 or so, moreso when it gets dark out.

When the heat goes down to the 70's again, I'll be out a few times a week, I love to walk for exercise.

I chose the wrong selection, but if you count masturbating, which has to burn something, yeah, I "work out" once a day!

I used to hit they gym 5 days a week, now it's more like 3 days a week. Two 90-min sessions and one 1-hour session. Speaking off I need to go today.

And yeah, it's too hot too walk the dog too far in the summer.

I chose the first one, although I do not *tan*! Lol! (I do plenty of laundry though!)

I will often do a cardio routine, then do free weights throughout the day, then swim at night. When the pool is shut down in the winter, my husband and me go for hour long walks for distance. I just feel a lot better when I'm moving than when I am sitting still.

We have a beagle and a rottweiler. We walk the dogs every day. It may not be a "workout" but it's sure exercise.

Beagles are totally one of my fav dogs for personality! My parents have a beagle/basset mix, that is a low riding dog!

I used to work out all the time. I worked at Curves for 2 years. But unfortunately the local one went out of business and I was out of a job and place to work out. Now I'm stuck here with a 3 year old all the time and can't work out most times. And I can really tell the difference.

My mom works at a Curves. She loves it there. She said she lost like 30 pounds in 3 months or something amazing like that. Just a bit of change can make a big difference.

Cut out regular soda: BOOM 15 pounds in 2 months (or less).

I dont want to work out but I know that I need to so I try to push myself everyday to get some sort of exercise in. Perhaps if I had a partner to work out with I'd be more motivated to do it.

Double ditto. I walk my two dogs (puggle-chiweenie and a mini Aussie shep) three times a day, usually about a half mile to a mile each time.

I don't really consider that "working out," it's just a responsibility.

I wish I was better about exercising. I'm not really overweight or anything, but it's just a good habit to actually exercise regularly regardless...and I have the time.

Anyway, I sometimes make it to the gym and do yoga on occasion as well and get plenty of walking in. I just want to make my schedule a little more regular.
