I do most things with my right hand. But I nearly always use my left hand for fingering my girlfriend.
What is your dominant hand?

For those who are interested in testing eye dominance, there's an easy neat little test;
Make a circle with your thumb and 1st finger
Hold out your arm and focus on an object inside the circle
Close one eye, then the other
The object will stay in the circle for your dominant eye and move out of the circle of your weaker eye
pretty easy! less

Right-handed, but I make a concerted effort to use my left hand equally in everything except writing-- I once spent about a month trying to learn to write ambidextrously, but I just couldn't do it.

Same here my left hand and arm are stronger and more stable but I write with my right hand and can carry a full coffee cup in that hand...not so well with the left. Waitressing has also made my fingertips less sensitive to heat, from hot plates and trays.

I'm left handed! But I use scissors, play baseball, and basketball (things like that) with my right hand!

That is one thing I do use with my right hand - the computer mouse. It does make it easy to mouse and write at the same time

In school they always tried to give me the lefty scissors and I hated using them and would ask for the regular ones. I also use my right hand for my mouse, at my one job my boss got me a left handed mouse and rearranged my desk for me one day so I could work with my left hand and I hated it. It just doesn't feel right and I can't get used to it. I like using my right hand for that anyway because it leaves my left hand free for writing stuff or things like that.

my dad is left handed and back in the day they would try to make him write right handed. Once he got to high school they stopped, but his hand writing is awful!!

I wish I was ambidextrous!

Right handed all the way! I can't even stir soup with my left.

I'm ambidexterous, Alan's left-handed.

I'm terrible with my left hand.

I started right-handed, but then was jealous of the 'creativity' assumption that goes with left-handers.... so I taught myself to adapt. Lefty still isn't as polished as Righto, but I think it can hold its own in any hand-oriented contest.

Interesting fact, some right hand Hockey Players shoot left, meaning they use their non dominate hand. I always shot right.

In some cultures, left-handed people were thought of as being possessed by demons! They used to cut off that hand to prevent "the demons" from taking over the person. Yeah, culture can do some weeeeeird stuff to people. Thankfully it's not that way anymore.
I'm right-handed. My Mom's right-handed and my Dad's ambidextrous with a preference for his left-hand. I think he's only ambidextrous because of the culture preference for right-handed kids when he was growing up. But at least he's really cool for being ambidextrous now!

I am right handed - hubby is left handed but he can do almost anything with both except cut with scissors. Not sure why but he has to do that with his left hand.
I'm left eyed however. Always photograph with my left eye because back in the day as a teen I wore glasses that interfered with my camera when trying to shoot with the right eye. Now I've had laser surgery but yeah still left eye dominate.

Hey, that's pretty cool! I'm eye-ambidextrous then. I had a lazy eye as a kid and had to wear an ugly bandaid-looking eye patch for a while to strengthen my weaker eye. But now I have the ability to switch which eye I want to dominantly use and I can do it at will, with glasses on or off. I don't even remember which eye was the lazy one anymore.

I'm not sure whether I'm left handed or ambidextrous. I write with my left hand, but when I'm doing a new activity I can usually do it equally well with both hands so I just pick whatever is more convenient. Like when I did fencing in college I chose to learn left handed bacause it is an advantage, but when I learned to knit from a right handed person I chose to learn it right handed so I wouldn't confuse myself.
I always tell people I'm left handed, but I'm actually pretty good with my right hand as well.

I think that is the brain damage.
Yeah, you are right, the fevers should have killed me. I used to have convulsions, too. It happened more than once, I was a really sickly little kid (which is one reason I hate being sick now, despite being sick too often.) I remember the doctor making house calls and giving me shots and alcohol baths to bring down the fevers. (They don't do alcohol baths anymore. They, also, may cause brain damage or alcohol poisoning. I was left with an asthma like reaction when I smell rubbing alcohol and a fear getting wet (which I have overcome as an adult) when I was really sick. Go figure.) I think my parents wouldn't let me go into the hospital, as they wouldn't allow children hospitalized to see their parents more than a few minutes a day back then.

Same here. I've gotten used to living in a right hand world so, other than writing and knife skills, I predominately use my right hand. I wouldn't consider myself ambidextrous though because my right hand writing is completely illegible.

I was also taught to mirror, Chilipepper. I am glad because the other way looks incredibly uncomfortable and hand cramp-inducing!

I use my right hand for everything...in fact, a lot of the time my left hand is just dangling there and I find myself thinking "Why am I not doing this with both hands?" I have no idea why that happens to me.
