I have no problem with breastfeeding mothers in public, but it was his bus, he kind of has the right to monitor what's going on in his bus
What is the issue with breastfeeding?

I use to work at a mall and people would have huge fits over this. If I saw a woman breast feeding her child I didn't say anything at all. But other would flip their lids. I always liked to point out to them that just few stores down there was Victoria Secrets where they had huge signs in their windows with woman wearing barely there underwear but they where not freaking out about it so why are they freaking out about a woman feeding her child and a woman who had a towel covering her and her baby, unlike the ones in the signs. And I would ask them why is it wrong for her to feed her baby what it needs but it was acceptable to have a woman sexualized on display for children to freely see(the normal excuse they gave for being offended about breastfeeding was "cause of the children" which is why I would ask them the next question). Of course nobody ever gave me a answer, they just stormed off.

I don't see anything wrong with it, she was covering herself and the baby anyways.

Anyways, I dont bitch about someone shoving a greasy way too huge burger down their throats, which I think can get pretty nasty, but I would never tell a woman feeding her child that it is disgusting, or to go to the bathroom (I've been told this in the past when I was breastfeeding my daughter).
I'd have reported the bus driver..

Breastfeeding is natural (I didn't and wish I did), he should never have asked her to stop feeding her child.

This is something that really bothers me, and I'm not a mother. Women should be allowed to feed their babies whenever and wherever they want. There is something to be said for modesty - don't have your nipples all over the place - but as long as you're covered it's fine.

I was on the bus today for the first time in years, and a woman was breastfeeding her baby. Out of nowhere, after a good 10 minutes of feeding (as if no one noticed before) the bus stops, and the driver asks the woman to stop feeding her baby. He said it politely of course, but I don't understand what the issue is about. We don't have any laws here saying it isn't okay. She had a towel over her breast so it's not like she was "exposing herself" and I and another woman were the only ones on the bus.
What is so gross about this? If a baby needs to eat, a baby needs to eat! That's just my opinion.
What do you think is making this such a gross/offensive thing for people?
and
Do you think the driver had the right to ask the woman to stop if we have no laws against this? less
