My group was just sort of the weird people. XD We loved each other like a family, though.
What "Group" were you a part of in High School?
10/08/2011
I wasn't really anything. I knew everyone but hung out with the skater boys. They were smoking hot!
10/08/2011
Total prep..Polo shirts, etc. that I still wear to this day, and I'm 37! Bad habits are hard to break I guess...
10/08/2011
I really wasn't part of a group.
10/09/2011
I was kind of on the fringe. I hung out with some geeks and nerds, but wasn't relly part of that group. I floated between groups mostly, depending on who I had classes with.

I was the white pocket protector, Debate team geek..president of the science club. I also had seven varsity letters in Track and started the Karate team, however. Oh...and all my friends, including my future wife, were "greasers" who I ate lunch with every day (I STILL cannot figure that out), but those "greasers" (1970),either became car mechanics and laborers or, the other half (my wife and a bunch others) became the COMPUTER GEEKS and IT persons of the 1980's. Don't know why. More of them became computer geeks then did the "nerdy" kids. Odd....but true.
Don't ask about the HOODLUM kids in the group. Some of them became...no joke here...politicians and police officers (some rising to Detectives and Police Chiefs). Cannot even begin to laugh hard enough on that fact.
That is how OUR large high school class panned out.

I was friends with everyone else in those categories but didn't actually fit in one myself...

I was definitely a band geek! I was involved in the band since 6th grade. I played flute. My junior year, I became Drum Major/Field Commander for my high school marching band. I still played flute in the concert band as well. Almost all of my friends were in the band. That is where I also met my husband.
I still drag my flute out to play from time to time.

I was part of a group that was a mix of nerds/geeks, goth, and freaks/stoners/burn outs.

I traveled in a lot of different circles.

You missed the band geeks, vocal drama starters, and theatre kids. (I was the first two groups, but I wasn't really a drama queen.)
01/11/2012
I was friends with lots of groups. I was in Choir and on the drill team where i was affectionatly called Gomer Pyle.

"Punk rocker" is closest to me, I guess.. I wore too much eyeliner and really colorful clothing with lots of accessories but not necessarily "girly" things. No one in my group smoked weed or played any sports, nor did I, and people were always asking us if we were "emo." I would ask those people "what does that mean? If you explain it I can tell you if I am or am not." and none of them could ever explain what it was, lol. I still don't know what the hell the criteria for being "emo" were. I was very quiet and got straight A's and liked to draw a lot, but none of the "smart" kids ever approached me so I didn't fall into their group.

scowled at everything and everyone until i went home.

Homeschooled.

I was a geek/nerd...and still am. And proud of it, too!
01/16/2012
I was a preppy gal, but I did have friends in other groups too. I was just a people person.
01/21/2012
I put in "goth" but that's because everyone called me one. I was in a lot of different groups, I think. I was an art weirdo that hung out with the band nerds, went to chess club a couple of times, was a soccer referee, played computer games and video games with that group, hung out with some stoners (that weren't artists) and pretty much had so many different styles of clothes it was hard to keep track.

I voted for geeks/nerds, because all my friends were of that group (I had no one else to hang out with), though I refused to identify. I was just a lone wolf-- then I started independent study after 2 years of high school, so that was nice. I hated high school.

I was in ceerleading, but i was also a stoner (:
Kinda werid ow that works out... I ung out with a little bit of everyone, all my friends ave different talents so it was kinda werid.

av squad'er for me

Totally hung out with the drug addicts, but I was scared to death of drugs and didn't use them. Dressed like I did though.
01/21/2012
Kind of a mixture. I wanted to hang out with the goth kids, but I was never cool enough for it freshman year. Mostly, my friends were weirdos, skaters, a few stoners, some goth kids, and towards the end there were plenty of rockers around too. I also had a good number of art friends!
01/21/2012
I wore all black, had purple hair for awhile, played D&D at lunch, was in sci fi club and fashion club and read romance novels openly with my manga. Yep. Nerd to the max. :>
