I helped a young mother over the phone late one night last week, she was poor and very young and crying and in pain (and her baby was crying in her arms as we spoke.) I tried to do the best I could with limited resources (it was over the phone and I couldn't SEE the problem,) and gave her some suggestions to try for her situation. It was a Pro Bono client. I couldn't charge this sweet young thing. She called me the next day to tell me that everything had worked out wonderfully, she and the baby were doing well and we both were in tears. It's a great profession. less
