Eggy flavored?

Rarely have fruit filled doughnuts where the filling tastes anything like real fruit. Usually a very strong "dye" flavored gel. Have you found a good blueberry filled doughnut? Is this at a chain store?

Crullers have a decided egg taste to them for me, so I know what she means. Custard tastes eggy, too. You would understand someone saying something tasted fishy, right? Well, it's similar to that. I personally don't like a strong taste of egg, the same way I don't like meat that tastes gamey. Make sense now?

I agree about the "fruit flavored" gluey glop they stick inside donuts! It's so gross that you have to make your own, using either your own fruit preserves, or a high quality store bought. I would rather get a plain donut and put my own quality assured, real fruit compote on each bite!
