That's in reference to votes on the actual reviews, it was put in place before we had Rumbles I believe. At this point, I don't think you can vote on your own reviews from your own account.

As far as voting for your review in a Rumble, I stick by my initial feelings.

This seems only to apply to voting on your review's usefulness. Kristi - the Ethics of Conduct Manager - clarified above the EoC position on this.

I've never been nominated. If I was, I would probably not vote for myself.

A lot of times, thanks to bopping around the site, I will actually already have read all the rumble nominations before the rumble goes live. So I won't go through and re-read each one if there was an outstanding one that caught my eye (though I will go double-check any new ones that had escaped my notice).

And, shame on me, I don't always vote on everything I read. I do try to leave comments on everything, but I don't realistically even manage that, every time. I'll work on improving that.

I've never voted for mine, even if I thought they were the best. I just felt wrong somehow doing this. I even thought about voting for someone else just to do it, but decided to just not vote any week I was nominated. Seemed the fairest way, I suppose.

I can see that some people might be able to look at all reviews and see if they feel theirs is the best and vote accordingly. If so, I guess I don't inherently have an issue with it. I mean, it's only one vote. I just personally don't do it.

As far as I know, I haven't been in the rumble, but I definitely would not vote for myself. I vote for the most interesting/well written review.

It took me a while to realise what a rumble was . I'd be tempted, but I wouldn't vote for myself.

I was told long ago that when you are in the running for anything, you should always vote for yourself. The person who told me this said, "If you don't consider yourself worthy to vote for, why should anyone else vote for you?" And as mentioned, one vote is usually not going to be the deciding factor.

I also was told that if you nominate someone for something, you should vote for that person. This is why I disagree with each person getting to nominate three reviews for the rumble. You only have one vote, so you are not voting for two of the reviews you nominated (at least). Seems wrong to me.

I would vote for myself. I got to have at least one vote for it.
