Nope. It distracts me from my dates and that's rude.
TVs in restaurants - like it or hate it?

its cool i really dont pay attention tho maybe once in my life because there was a really important sports game on

Disconnecting from media is important in my life.
06/04/2012
It really depends on the place I'm eating. But I do like to watch if there is a big game on.

I don't really like having a TV in the restaurant. Boyfriend tends to look at the TV instead of me

Do you find this a problem, or do you like having a TV to watch while having dinner out? Does it cause your table conversation to stall or not even take place? less

I like it at some restaurants.

Its hard enough to hear your concersatiob above other conversations without a tv.

I hate it. I didn't care until I was with my fiance. He can't help but stare at a TV if it is on and it really makes going out to dinner with him irritating.

I wouldn't want a TV in a nicer restaurant, but I love them in casual places, especially since I'm normally eating alone.

I find it so distracting
06/04/2012
It depends on the place. And I don't like it when it's turned to a sports station because crowd noise annoys me.
06/04/2012
If it's a really nice place, or you're looking for a nice dinner, NO THANKS!

Depends on the setting of the restaurant

I can never hear it! So annoying!

It depends sport bar/restaurants yes, everything else no.

I don't care for tv in general. Mindlessly eating sounds like a terrible idea.
06/11/2012
I hate TVs in restaurants. I think it's tacky and disruptive. Noise bothers me something awful, I've been known to turn off or unplug those freakin' TVs with the ads running in the supermarket. In restaurants, I am bright enough to make my own conversation and even entertain my own children I don't need the mindless noise box running, usually louder than I speak anyway.
I can't express how much I HATE this.
And what's with the new thing of putting TVs with ad on them on gas pumps? Is there any place in our world that is still quiet?

If your in a bar like applebees no i don't mind but if your in a suit and tie place yeah i mind...

I prefer to have no t.v when I'm eating at home so at a restaurant I really dislike it. I have had situations where workers are more interested in the T.v then on the customers which I find to be very rude.
06/11/2012
I don't like it. I go out with my man to get away, not for him to be glued to the TV.
