I want a tattoo to symbolize my 'dyke' side/the fact that I'm proud to be out of the closet. I haven't decided on what I'm getting yet, as I don't want it to be a typical 'gay' tattoo (such as the double Venus symbol, etc.)...Maybe some stars with a rainbow woven them. I know I want my first tattoo to be on the back of my neck. Other than that, I'm not sure! =)

I have a pink ribbon tattoo in memory of my nan who died from breast cancer, my sister & I have matching ones as does my cousin

I just have one, a bar of music that is my initials in eighth notes (BAD, no joke XD) with a bass clef. I want to get a fleur de lis on the back of my neck, a chess piece somewhere (a knight or bishop, I haven't decided), a picture of a wolf like dog (like my actual dog) nestled into a crescent moon, a tattoo version of a dream catcher my late grandfather made for me...

I think I could very easily end up covered in ink, lol

I understand not wanting to make it something "typical" that everyone would get. I like the stars, it reminds me of the tattoo that the character "Alice" has in the L Word. (the actress may actually have the tattoo as well... ???)

I saw a tattoo of a nautical star that had the rainbow in each of the points on one half and just black on the other, it was really interesting. (I love thinking and planning tattoos...) What about a bird with the rainbow filling it in, but blended together really seamlessly? (????)

My sister has almost the same tattoo as I do. You can see it on the blog post I linked.

There is already a thread about this running around somewhere, I remember posting in it

I have two dragons on either side of my lower back , not in the middle :p: I am gemini and chinese zodiac is dragon.

Tinkerbell just above my right ankle- because I am tinkerbell lol

Two flowers , one on my shoulder, one under my neck- one was my first tat, other was the only one that doesn't mean something. I hate it it is from a drunken night of fun.

and my FAVORITE- A tribal kind of dove with my son's name and birthday on it It was my first mother's day present from my mom, and it means the most to me. Oh that is over my heart <3. You can see it in my video reviews, but I use mirrored webcam setting sometimes so it looks like it's on the other side of my chest

I don't have any at all, though I have been tempted in the past. I don't think I will ever get one, but I can never say never. I really like some of the ones mentioned on here though!

I've always wanted a butterfly tatto for what it represents (transformation/hope/o ptimism) but everyone has a butterfyl tatto, I want people to see my tattoo and ask me why I got it not just say wow thats a nice tattoo.

My advice would be to wait until you are sure, absolutely sure, that you want it. Perhaps to the point where you just need to have it. Also, you have to have a pretty decent pain tolerance. It definitely does not tickle!

A cursive J on my hip
covered by a bullet with butterfly wings
cherry blossoms on my left rib cage
a chest piece that is a rose with the comedy tragedy masks
a power button behind my left ear
a pentagram on the back of my neck
a 1911 on my right forearm
a Lucky Cat cherry blossoms and kanji on my left upper arm
and a horse shoe on my left foot.

I have several. I have "beautiful" on my right wrist and "dreamer" on the other. I have Property Of Potter on my lower back with a heart that my husband tattooed with his initials. I have two sparrows with a banner and clouds on my chest, in the banner it says, "Love never fails". On my left foot I have a skeleton key, on my right foot I have a heart lock. I have a hinge on my left elbow crease. I also have a *joke* tattoo...it's a cock and balls under my right breast!
