In Chicago, it is considered a Cardinal sin. LOL! Some hot dog vendors don't even have ketchup available in their stores or carts. Although celery seed or celery salt is considered necessary. I do like celery seed or salt on my hot dogs, and pickles AND cucumbers, as well as ketchup, mustard (sometimes, but in Chicago, it's always yellow mustard or hot, not honey mustard, which I prefer) and tomatoes, onions and sometimes even lettuce. In the best Chicago Hot Dog places, they put the french fries ON the hot dog and you eat the entire thing together.

HMMM. I want one now.

Filet Mignone, when I can get it. I love marinating them, then wrapping one in a bacon strip. Mmm...so delicious!

Carnitas are everywhere in chicago. I grew up eating it every sunday. I think it's where you are in chicago to be honest. I was born and raised 20 plus years in the south side of chicago and have always know carnitas ( the city not suburb, and not south loop) i moved to la recent and the food is soooo bad. Chicago has culture, los angeles is all disgusting fake fake pizza and prepackaged everything. When ever i go home i gorge on real food.

Agreed! Ketchup FOREVER!!! Though I don't think I would ever use it at Hot Dougs, one of my two favorite hot dog joints in the world.
