You are a sweetheart and thank you for the praise! I am trying to get my topic posting mojo back, but my muse is proving a recalcitrant bitch
I always search with an outside search engine & Eden's search before posting a topic; it's more work, but I think people appreciate not seeing the same old same old - at least I know I don't like that. And now I have your appreciation for it, thank you! I also work hard at following up on all my topics and I think people like that to. I think it shows, at the very least, that you are reading their comments! And really, why ask a question, or post a discussion and not be part of discussing it? It always sets my point farming radar aquiver when someone doesn't re-visit their own topic, especially when they were asking a question!
I proudly accept this golden llama trophy and devour mine and Stormy's baskets of cookies!

Offtopic: When it comes to forum topics, I find it to be a bit um...gruff, let's say, when someone gets upset that a topic has been posted before. Of course it has. There are only so many subjects in the world one can talk about and I can honestly say that I have been told by a well known and well loved member of the community that my posts were "too cerebral" and he himself is an extremely intelligent person. Posts on astrophysics and the next evolution of clean energy are not going to be hot topics around here...
Unless we make them hot topics.
In general, a person is only going to put as much into a discussion as they want to get out of it. Sometimes topics just die because it's a yes/no situation and because we're all pretty much of the same mind on things that are going on in the adult bedrooms across the land (as long as it's safe, sane and consensual, it's all good) there is going to be a bit redundancy.
That being said, it's about the unique perspective the post brings and the willingness to genuinely engage in the discussion and debate all sides of the topic that will make or break it.
Just because we have to be nice and respectful to each other doesn't mean that we can't get down and dirty on a topic and truly debate its merits. /offsoapbox
