Do you have any sleep disturbances or disorders?

Just realized i spelled Narcolepsy wrong.

I have been prescribed medications to treat my insomnia in the past but found them to be extremely unpleasant. I never found a drug I responded well to. Some would paralyze my body without putting my brain to sleep and some just made me confused and uncoordinated. It was always a rather frightening experience.

Eventually, I gave up. Taking them was worst than being awake for a few days, for me.

I had some bouts of sleep walking as a young child, but I hear that is rather common and I grew out of it.

I get night terrors and have been accused of "Combat Acoustics" (a.k.a. snoring). I've even woken myself up snoring.
Often, if someone is waking themselves up snoring, it can indicate sleep apnea. It might be something to be tested for! Sleep apnea can increase risk of stroke and other bad things, so it's something to be aware of.

I snore really loudly myself. >_> My poor bedmates.

I sometimes have sleep paralysis, when you are "awake" but can't move. I hate that feeling, because it sometimes feels like you can't breathe.

I have chronic insomnia, restless leg syndrome, bruxism, night terrors, apnea, and I seem to have outgrown my somnambulism. I have a hell of a time at night!

I'm an insomniac and grind my teeth.. I only get a few hours of sleep a night and when I do I often have bad dreams where my teeth will start falling out or breaking off etc at some point and I always wake up with sore teeth and jaw and a killer headache. I have a night guard but don't use it.
I should probably use it....

Other than staying up until 4-5 AM and sleeping til noon? Nothing. I wish I could get on a more reasonable sleeping schedule but it's been a losing battle. I have a job that enables this behavior (server in a restaurant; I go to work at 4 PM.) And I've never understood people that can't sleep a full night. I can easily go 10+ hours, and if I miss a night I just add it on the next night (one time I went 17 hours because I didn't sleep at all the night before-traveling cross country.) !

I think my sleep is pretty average. I do think I grind my teeth. It's not like I'm grinding them, but more like tension in my jaws and I'm grinding down. Kind of like clenching when you get angry. I noticed it a few months ago when I had a root canal. I was more aware when I woke up and felt myself clenching my teeth. Yea, that's how mine would best be described; clenching, not grinding.

Every so often I'll have a week that I can't sleep no more than 4 hours. I have NO clue what goes on, but it's just ever couple of months it'll happen and then I'll go back to normal. I HATE it. Lol. I don't think it's anything that could be considered sleeping issues though.

I do have night terrors. Have for almost 6 years now. I don't consider them "sleep issues" either because although they happen in my sleep, I know the cause of them. They're always the same and always horrific. It's one thing that I cannot get used to. I wouldn't consider it a disorder though and it doesn't happen every single time I close my eyes, only about 4 days a week, more or less depending on whether or not the incident is on my mind.

I have insomnia. It comes and goes but when it hits, I will be up for days until I finally crash. I do this for about a month or two then I will be able to sleep fine for approx a month. Then start all over.

My husband drives me nuts moving around all night. I will jab him in the arm or shoulder so he will stop. When it's not him moving our dog is or she is snoring really loud.

If I don't exercise I sleep really awful. Also, if I take a nap I sleep crummy.
