I am deeply saddened by the shooting in Colorado. I truly want to avoid seeing Batman because I feel as if a copycat may arise in another theatre. Therefore, I am trying to avoid the movies for a while. Not forever, and not all movies, but simply the movie The Dark Knight Rises. I feel silly, but it is a serious matter if you truly think about the fact that copycats are always out there. Does anyone else feel a little scared? I agreed to see the movie in two weeks, but no sooner.

I was personally in a situation where I almost lost my life to a man with a gun and after something like that, I can't take chances. It is hard to make others understand unless they were in a similar situation. less

I've ALWAYS been afraid to go out in public places, whether it be theaters, restaurants, or grocery shopping. I am constantly paranoid since I currently no longer have a license to carry a concealed weapon including tasers, and I feel like a sitting duck.

Seeing the pictures, reading the reports, and getting first hand reports on a message board from a guy who was THERE...I don't understand how things like this can happen! I mean, of course I understand, but I don't understand.

Things like this happen more and more, and it is terrifying that something like that isn't difficult to plan out at all, so I am sure there will be others doing something similar, though I'm not sure it will be copycats.

The outside world is scary and it makes me want to go out less and less, but I won't just sit around inside all day because of it. I'll just carry pepper-spray til I get my permit again at least to carry a taser, and then I will feel just fine going out. less
