Waffles all the way! I know they are mostly made of the same thing, but waffles taste better to me. Maybe because they are more crisp.

I don't really consider either a breakfast food, but waffles with caramel sauce and ice cream is a delicious dessert.

I honestly like them both for different reasons. Waffles are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and I love love love the little pockets of butter and syrup. Pancakes are all fluffy and drenched in syrup. Both are awesome.
