I think pennies are silly. The first time I read "NO MORE PENISES?!" ahaha.
No more PENNIES ???

If it was absolutely necessary I'd understand but it'd be weird not having them around any more.

I recently learned that the Canadian government would like to or is considering eliminating the Canadian penny. By some estimates, it actually costs more to produce a 1 cent penny. This is all in the name of saving Federal expenses. In my mind, the effect of such a change would make our cost-of-goods be rounded up to the nearest five cent mark. For example, a Big Mac that costs $3.46 would instead cost $3.50. Should we still pay for our goods to the exact penny or something else? Therefore, my question is: Should the U. S. government ever consider eliminating the Lincoln penny; how do you feel about it?

No I already pay enough so things I would rather not pay more because they will probably always round up and if you round everything up including your paychecks no thanks

Keep the Penny! I collect them and at work we have a pennies war between teams, I always buy them out at the end to search for more historical pennies.

I am all for it. I know with the federal reserve 'loans' that supply the American dollar, due to the interest debt every dollar loaned is already in debt. That means that without even printing a dollar bill, more than one dollar is need to pay it back. So with the printing and material costs added to the mix for all physical currency...
I think more drastic changes are needed than eliminating pennies, but financially speaking they are pretty worthless.

I haven't used cash (or change) in a very long time. I am okay with dropping it. Sounds fun.
