What a great story! Sounds like your mom had radar! I'm glad you got to keep him. I love a happy ending with animals.

Jude. He's a siamese mix, and I got him on halloween in my senior year of high school. He was the last of a litter that my friend's cat had, but my mom said we couldn't get another cat. So I got up at 4am, drove to my friend's house before school, got Jude and dropped him off with my bff's boyfriend who watched him for the day. Then after school I snuck him into the house in my backpack. The first thing mom asked me was "DO YOU HAVE A KITTEN IN YOUR BACKPACK?" I tried to deny it, but as soon as I tried to leave him in my room alone he started crying. So I showed him to mom ("Look at how cute he is mom! Look at his blue eyes!"). A couple of mornings later I woke up to hear her singing "Hey Jude" to him and I knew we were keeping him. He's the best cat I've ever had, and now he lives with me and my gf.
