Marijuana

Smoking it just as dangerous as smoking cigarettes because you are still damaging your lungs, if you don't invest in a vaporizer or something of that sort. And it is addictive, just like alcohol, and from personal experience I really don't condone it. I've been rear-ended at a stop sign by a guy who was under the influence, and it's not any safer than alcohol. I think it should remain medical, even though I don't see how it does anything more than mask the problem and make you feel better temporarily. I've been with guys who have smoked it nearly everyday, and they've explained it as if they can't live life without it. I think that it can cause just as much harm as "good".

Don't forget the sink for some water. LOL

I smoke regularly. It should be legal.

Never have, never will. I've had bad experiences with most people I know who smoke it, and I just don't see the point in wasting your money and harming your lungs.

If it weren't laced with anything, I'd be perfectly fine with it. I haven't done it myself, But i may at a later date. I do not know yet.

Legalize it. Quite ridiculous that it's still illegal in so many parts of the world... and in the US, a Schedule I drug lumped in with the likes of heroin (a policy that our current administration still strongly supports).

I don't really care if it's legal or not. I would just love it if people don't smoke it around me. I really cannot stand the smell.

Feds Shut Down Marin Pot Club, State's Oldest
Marin Alliance for Medical Marijuana quietly shuts doors.

Barack Obama's Justice Department have done what top attorneys for former presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton could never do -- silenced the Marin Alliance for Medical Marijuana.

The modest medical cannabis dispensary -- which has operated since 1996, making the Fairfax-based pot club the state's oldest -- quietly shut down over the weekend under heavy pressure from federal prosecutors, according to the Marin Independent Journal.

Marin Alliance was sent letters by U.S. Attorney for Northern California Melinda Haag instructing the club to shut down or face stiff penalties, including asset forfeiture and prison terms.

The club had operated in Marin with full knowledge of local authorities and even a resolution of support from the town council in Fairfax, according to reports. But since then, the federal government began asset forfeiture proceedings against the landlord, and the founder of the club -- Lynette Shaw -- has stopped responding to press inquiries and has severed her ties with the Marin Alliance, according to reports.

It is not yet known if the federal government will continue with the asset forfeiture proceedings filed against the Orinda-based landlord.

Should be legalized, regulated under the ATF, and subsides given to marijuana farmers like the old days before tobacco lobbied to have it criminalized. In fact, I highly believe the ONLY reason it's still illegal is that tobacco companies know how much revenue they'd lose if it were legal and sold next to their chemical-laden and mostly unnatural product, so they fight hard to keep the status quo. It would fix oh so many problems... tax revenue would help rebuild the economy, prisons wouldn't be overcrowded (thus saving even more tax dollars by not having to pay to feed/shelter petty criminals), pot importers would have zero black market value... but again, because of Big Tobacco, it'll never happen

Personally, I have never smoked it. I just don't see a reason too! But I have dated men that did, and have friends who do.

I think it should be legalized so it can be taxed... Just imagine how quickly we could get out of debt if weed would be taxed! lol Well, maybe not, but if cigarettes and alcohol are legal, I see no reason for weed to be illegal

I've never used it, but I definitely think it should be legal if used safely. Especially medical marijuana used for pain and such. I think it's definitely safer than cigarettes and alcohol at least.

I've never smoked it but I would love to try. I know WA just legalized it, so hopefully I'll be able to move back and try it without fear of getting caught.
