I smoke weed primarily in conjunction with sex. It really is an amazing combination sex and weed. For guys that are having problems getting to that elusive Super-O with Pspot stimulation, weed can be the key to getting you there. This was certainly the case with me, and I've also seen this be the case with women and their Gspots. As far as legality goes, the fact that it's illegal really is silly and nonsensical. As long as it remains illegal, profits made from it will only be enjoyed by illicit organizations and not the government that is strapped for cash. Thinking that keeping it illegal will somehow eradicate it or dissuade those that want to use it is patently ridiculous.

Not something im into, but i dont care either way if its legalized or not

I have a high level of ambivalence about legalization. I don't see legalization as the panacea that others do - but the cost of compliance does seem extraordinarily high. Honestly I was shocked when a recent initiative to decriminalize marijuana failed in California - arguably the most liberal state in the US.

I've never used it and I have quite a few friends who had it mess up their lives. However, maybe if it is legalized, there would be more regulation on the quality

legalize it & give it the same restrictions as they do alcohol, that's what i think they should do.

Decriminalize it. That is what I say.
05/23/2011
It's not something I'm in to, but I don't think it's any worse that alcohol!

I used to smoke quite a bit (I do not anymore, however). But these days, it's always laced with things like cocaine and other drugs, so it's not as pure anymore. If it could be purified, then I feel that legalizing it would be an alright idea. To be fully honest though, I don't find it to be such a big deal. There are other, more pressing matters that need to be dealt with in the world.

I think legalizing and taxing it is the way to go. But personally I never have and never will smoke (weed or anything else) because I have severe asthma and smoke is not my friend. I have no issue with anyone else doing it though.

Always laced with cocaine and other drugs??? What have you been smoking? If anything the marijuana that is commonly available is better than it has ever been. The concept of "purity" is a little difficult with cannabis, as there are just a lot of varieties and also quite a lot that can happen to the plant as it is dried... i.e. the difference between not so great brick weed and nicer stuff that has been cared for. At any rate Cannabis is cannabis, and some is a lot more potent than others, but the notion that most marijuana is doctored simply isn't true.

I really think we could use the income from taxing legal sales of marijuana to help fund things that aren't getting as much attention as they should.

So true - but remember there will never be enough tax revenue. The pols will always find something new to spend money on. Their favorite game is to cut back on what you care about - to scare you into approving ever more taxes. If you call their bluff (as we have done in San Diego), they'll figure out a way make it work. They keep threatening us with wholesale Armageddon if we don't approve every tax increase that makes the ballot - the tax increases rarely get approved and life as we know it hasn't changed much.

I recently met with some state employees all grumbling about pay and benefit cuts. My pay has been cut by more than 1/3 and have practically no benefits. Pointing that out to them did stop the grumbling - but I'm sure they still feel 'singled out'.
Sorry for the rant!

legalize it
05/24/2011
Compared to most other drugs I believe it should be legalized as its less dangerous than most and the government would save a lot of money battling it and make more from taxing.
05/24/2011
I haven't used it in years. I just outgrew it.
I think it should be legalized and heavily taxed. "They" may find things to spend the money on, but more taxes on something that isn't necessary, but that people want and WILL buy (like booze, tobacco and gambling) can't hurt.
Medical marijuana shouldn't be taxed, but I think legalizing it will probably cut down on the number of people who get it for medical problems in the states where it is legal for this. A medical marijuana attempt just failed in IL. It doesn't make any sense to keep it illegal, who would it hurt? Like Bob Dylan said (I'm paraphrasing) "People shouldn't criticize what they can't understand."

I think its the same as drinking... expect you dont have a hangover the next morning! As long as people can use it in moderation and responsibly, then I totally support it being legal. Plus, think of all the $$ the government will make!! Let's help the economy and make people feel happy!

I use it pretty regularly. I really only use it when I'm at home, though. I use it before I go to sleep because sleep aids make me so damn groggy in the morning. Even Ambien.
Weed has never done that for me. I fall asleep like a baby.
I get high and do housework sometimes. Walking the dog is fun.
But I don't do it just to get "fucked up." That's why so many people are so hesitant to legalize it. There's plenty of people who don't smoke weed to get fucked up, it's just part of their daily lives.
I'm not saying weed should be given freely. It should have restrictions like alcohol does. An age limit and a permit to grow. It should be taxed.
Weed is the only thing that's worked for me ever since I became a teenager. If I'd had it earlier, I'd be a different person.

I have never done any drugs. Never will. BUT, marijuana being illegal does more problems than help.
05/24/2011
Never done it and never will
05/24/2011
Never used it. Not sure that I would even if it were legal. But I think it should be made legal, as criminalizing it has just made more problems than it solved.

I have never done drugs and dont intend to, but i dont think making it illegal stops anyone. At least we could get some taxes off it if it was legal.
