I like both, but which one I use depends on how dry my skin feels. When it's really dry, I apply body butter right after my shower. When it's not so dry, I use lotion because it's easier to apply, and less rubbing in is necessary.

So, I turn to you, EF, to help us settle this pressing issue! (And also because I'd feel very silly actually polling people in person.) less

I use GlyMiracle. It's called a lotion but it's thick like a body butter. I dunno. It's awesome.

Depends on the weather. I only moisturize during the winter, since that's the only time I get dry skin. I use hand cream and I use lotion on my legs. Sometimes I'll use body butter on my feet before bedtime. If my skin is really dry on my heels, I use a foot cream made especially for that, it has glycolic acid in it and works great!

lotion!

I use both because I have both...most of the time.

I go for both, depending on the weather and how dry my skin it. If it's summer/spring and quite warm out, I like using a lighter lotion. Fall and winter I like the thicker body butter.

I like both. I have dry skin so I usually use the 24 hour body creams from Bath & Body Works. I love they way they smell but they're kind of hard to warm up and spread. Body butter is great for feet, elbows, knees, ect. I wish it was easier to spread around too. If I use it all over and if it's too thick it could break me out so I only use body butter ion certain dry spots. I like lotion but I feel like it doesn't last very long and doesn't help my skin as much. I prefer the body creams because they are like half lotion half body butter. Have any of you tried any spray oil/lotion mists from here? I got the Simply Sensual spray oil and it works great! I wish it last longer though.

I very much prefer lotions over body butter. I think the fact that it feels so rich is what puts me off. Might be because I don't live in a place where I need much moisturizing.

I have very dry skin for two reasons. My hands are dry because I'm a germophobe and a health care worker, and I wash them in harsh antibacterial soaps many times a day. Second, I have occasional eczema on my calves, and I use a thick lotion (Curel) to keep my condition at bay. When I want a nice, sensual massage I prefer body butter.

Both appeal to me.
