I agree that they should section that stuff off. I go in there all the time with my kids. They LOVE the dragons and black light stuff. I'd just rather them not ask me questions about what some of the other stuff is for.
Just curious about what other people think...

I was in the store Spencers tonight at the mall and I just noticed a lot of young kids in there. I saw one girl about my age with a child probably 5 years old an a toddler in a stroller. Maybe it's just me but I don't think they should be letting kids in that store. At least a curtain or something should be put up like they have in the Waterbeds N Stuff store where you have to be 18 to enter that part of the store. I'm not going to lie when I was 13 I went in with my friends and we would laugh and be all "ewww gross!" about the sex related stuff but I'm sure my mother wouldn't have wanted me in there. I know when I have pre-teen or younger, even a certain age teenager I don't want them going in there seeing pot related stuff along with stripper poles, sex toys and such. Anyone else think it's a bit wrong? I'm not trying to be all "this is an outrage" just find it inappropriate. I'm curious as to why there isn't a rule implied.

Our Spencer's was always set up where the bad stuff was kinda hidden towards the back, but i agree

I dislike the idea of Pre teens in Spencer bc of all the playboy stuff... girls should be okay being themselves at that age and not wanting boys to "look" at them like that

No, it's not a place for a younger audience.

I got my first vibrator there as a teen..lol I was a very horny kid and always checked out the sex stuff. I doubt it has much impact on kids..there are so many other distracting things kids would focus on like costumes, toys, t-shirts. I think kids can be too sheltered sometimes too.

I've always thought that it was odd that they were in the mall and open for whoever.
