In your ideal dream, do you picture yourself retiring in a BIG, FANCY house or a SMALL, COZY house?

I would like to have a medium-sized house. Not huge, but four or five rooms would be good. It depends on what happens down the road, though. I currently do not have any children, but when I do, that will be what makes the difference.

Somewhere big enough to enable solitude and privacy.

I'd prefer a cozy, older farmhouse with a nice big barn and a stretch of land where my dogs can run free, I can have a big garden, and maybe a cow. I like my peace and quiet, and I like to feel history beneath my feet.

It would be impossible to clean and dust a mansion buy yourself. I would only want a manor if I could afford servants, ahaha.

In between. Not so small as to feel cramped, not too big that cleaning would be a chore. Need a good sized yard for pets and a veggie garden and a library. And tons of windows!

I want a 2 room cabin style house with a loft and finished basement. In the deep woods of Tennessee or Maine. The garage must be almost as big as the house with a loft as well...

I'd prefer a smaller house, just enough room for my man, about three kids, a few pets, and myself. (with a nice in-law house thing on the property for my mother of course)
A big mansion would feel so cold and empty to me even if there were plenty of people in it.

I would be very content to never move again! I love my house, but I would also like to update the kitchen and master bath. Perhaps add a hot tub in the back yard. I'm always open to the idea of a camp or summer house though.
