Ah stupid obsolete laws
Illegal Sex Toys!?
12/07/2012
I wouldn't call these laws 'inactive' because, not only are sex toy businesses very effected by this law, this also negatively impacts concepts about sex. Making something illegal, indicates that it is undesirable. Consensual sex should never be publicly shamed.

In the county I live in there isn't suppose to be any sales of sex toys either but we have the in home party consultants that go to your house or anywhere really an throw the parties. The old Sheriff made it a law that no sex shops could open in our county. Kind sucks since all other sex shops are an hour or so away from where I live. Thank God for Eden

Wow, I haven't heard of this. There is “no fundamental right for a person to buy a device to produce orgasm"? Crazy!
12/07/2012
I'm only one state over (Mississippi), so the views on sex are about the same here :\ People should really get their priorities straight.
12/07/2012
It's vaguely amusing in its ridiculousness. There may be no "fundamental right" to own such a device as he puts it, but certainly no government has any business in restricting such a thing.
12/07/2012
No one has a fundamental right to own a car...? Or a pet...? No one has a "fundamental right" to own a lot of things. Why target what creates orgasms?
In Texas there are signs up in all the shops that say the toys must be used between married couples only. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA the feeldoe mosdef is going to be used by a married couple in Texas.

That's a pretty ridiculous law.
12/07/2012
wow this is the lamest thing ive heard by far this year, Alabama sucks ass!
12/07/2012
I think it should be other way around. there should be a law to provide one device to every person 14 and up to provide orgasm there would be less crime, less stress, less rapes, the world would be a better place.

Wow. I'm shocked. I can't believe something so natural as sexual desire is prohibited by law. In the sense that, sex toys are only tools. I'm baffled.
12/07/2012
Another idiotic law.

That's another example of "wise" legislators looking out for you and me.
And we trust these people with leading the country?

Unless you're in a really rural (read: backwards) area, my understanding is that they usually don't prosecute.

I think it's ridiculous when someone tries to regulate a product that doesn't affect society. In South Carolina I think sodomy is still illegal on the books, but no one enforces it. I wonder if this law is like ours...

Oh wow is this for real? And it's actually enforced?

I would love legislation that provided sex toys to everyone, free of charge!

I definitely agree that the world would be a less stressful place. I also think that dental dams should be provided along with condoms. Less stress and less STDs and unwanted pregnancy's.
EF should run something like a food drive, but with sex toys! I think we have an idea here...

Poor Alabama
01/13/2013
I hadn't heard of this.
01/13/2013
For everyone who makes the claim "but no one enforces it" so you are going to rely upon the good sense of the police and prosecutors to NOT enforce a law. Really?
In this economic climate where that citation, very well could be easy fine money they could bring in to help pay their salaries? Really?

That's just bullshit! If I live in Alabama I would make a giant dildo replica out of paper mache and put it in my yard
01/13/2013
I'm Not From Alabama, But I Don't Agree With That Law One Bit. It's Stupid And Pointless And Honestly, It Seems Like Maybe The Person Who Made The Law Must Have Some Kind Of Vendetta Against Sex Toys For Whatever Reason. Maybe An Ex Liked Her Toys More Than Having Sex With Him! I Wouldn't Blame Her, He Sounds Like A Prude.

what is this world coming to?
01/13/2013
I don't live there, but if I did I wouldn't stop promoting Eden.
01/19/2013
Very ignorant.
