Those shows break my heart, like Animal Cops. Before I started going to school here I thought about moving to Michigan since it is the closest state that has a program like that but I was too much of a baby to move away from everyone I know. Those shows make me cry. The ASPCA commercials get me EVERY time, I have to turn the channel.
I hate seeing those people that hoard animals too.
I can't go into the animal shelter without crying when I leave. I just want to take them all home with me!

Ive got a worse question... You have a hunting dog that you brought up from a puppy. You are hunting raccoons with it gets off of your gps screen and somehow makes its way out onto the main road infront of a car and gets hit. It is severly injured and will not make it to the vets and you cant move it because it has compound fractures sticking out of its skin. You have a handgun... Can you put it down or would you let it suffer until it passes?

Heres another one.. you have a full outdoor kennel with a heated inside but a way for the dog to get into and out of it easily. So you leave the do for 2 days and have your neighbor come over to feed the dog. You come home to find the dog a purebread bluetick hound has been stuck in the fence for two days and has been so badly injured by being stuck in the fence that it will have to have the leg amputated for it to live. The dog is a hunting dog and was raised by you since a puppy. (Dog is worth about 5 grand its a purebred) Do you put the dog down or spend what the dog is worth on a surgery to amputate the dogs leg for the dog to live but the vet says the do wont ever be able to do what it loves again and hunt. What do you do?

What actually happened:

Guy ended up shooting his dog and carried it out of the woods in a blanket.

After the vet said the dog would never hunt again, the guy does the surgery and the dog went right back to hunting with three legs like it was his job. Great little dog.

I love my fuzzy angels and have paid a large amount of $$ for their health, but in the end, I would have to say good-bye. My kiddos need their mom.

It's part of owning a pet. You have to be able to say goodbye.

this is a difficult to answer question. I would be willing to involve some risk to myself, but depending on the degree of risk i would change my answer. I have to consider my son growing up without a parent versus growing up without a pet cat.
