You sound, from other things I've read as well, like a really good Mommy, like mine was! Your kids will always be strongly bonded to you. My father, who was always working & more distant, is now an old man & is constantly surprised how much we all genuinely like our mom & are so comfortable talking & laughing with her. We go to her, not him, when we need advice or comfort. He regrets not having that bond. Sure we love him, but it's different. You get out of it what you put into it & it was a lot of work & sacrifice on her end, for sure!
Well, guess it's okay to turn this into our little off-topic chat, because it's my discussion! less

I'm so glad to hear that you have such a good relationship with your mom. My mom tried really hard when we were little, but kind of gave up after a while because things weren't easy with the situation we were in. I don't have a good relationship with her now and it makes me sad because we could have been really close. My children are my everything! I joke about getting a break, but truly, I would be lost without them! I want to be the best mom I can be to them and raise them into beautiful young women who are confident and sure of themselves. I hope my girls remain close with me like you are with your mom. It's such an amazing bond, and I feel honored to share that with three amazing young ladies (I'm tearing up now! ). It means a lot to me that you've been able to see through my posts how much they mean to me!
