I might be the exception here but I rarely cut my hair. I get it done maybe once a year. I would like to do it more often but it is so expensive, even for a trim, and I just don't think it's that big of a deal. So, how often do you get your ears lowered
How often do you cut your hair?

I might get mine done once a year. Though I've gone a good 4 or 5 years before without cutting it. My hair grows VERY slow, lol.

I shave it down every other month. I don't like seeing the grey's.

I get a trim every 8 weeks, otherwise I get split ands and my hair looks really bad. When I get regular trims it seems like it grows faster because the ends aren't breaking off as much.

I go back and forth between short and long hair. I won't get it cut for ages, then I chop it all off and keep it that way with periodic cuts, until I want long again.
04/04/2011
When I was keeping it short, I'd cut it once a month or so. I've been growing it out lately, and I've been getting it trimmed to try and take out any really damaged hair that came from crappy bleaching. Last time I got a trim was a few months ago, and I'm due for one soon.

I've always had pretty healthy hair (even with my at-home coloring), so I never had problems with split ends. I just go to the salon when I have the extra cash and want to go back to having a chin-length bob again. Although there's always trouble with my bangs since the right side has a cowlick growth-pattern and my left side lays almost flat. My bangs have to be dried first before they can be cut.

Whenever I get tired of long hair and want to go short. LOL.. I'm on no set schedule.

About once a year. But when I had a mohawk, I would clip the sides myself on a monthly basis.

Every two or three months. Whenever I decide my hair is getting too long, or I feel like chatting with the guy who does my hair.
04/04/2011
My hair doesn't grow very fast so I can get away with every other month!
04/04/2011
Mine grows pretty slow but its ultra-mega thin. My hair out-lengths my extensions but it is way too thin to wear without. I get it cut rarely. Maybe once a year, except maybe my bangs which might be cut a few times a year.
04/04/2011
I cut my hair once or twice a year and if all I need is a trim I usually just do it myself.
04/04/2011
twice a year

I trim my bangs every few weeks, but let the rest of my hair grow wild. I tend to get a an all-around trim maybe once a year.
I loves my long hairs!

It depends. I'll go a few months and then buzz it all down to a quarter inch (or bald) one day. I just got a mohawk the other day, so I'll probably be getting the sides buzzed bald every 3 or 4 weeks.
04/04/2011
I get my hair cut whenever I notice that there are split ends that need to be dealt with, and by cut I mean a trim. I change hairstyles or colour maybe once a year.
04/04/2011
I get my hair trimmed up once every six months or so. I don't take much length, just trim to make sure there's no split ends, etc.
04/04/2011
I have really short hair and own my own clippers, so I clean it up every 3-4 weeks. Back when I had really long hair I'd get it trimmed twice a year.
04/04/2011
OK, so I get a bit shaggy from time to time. I hate my hair being cut. I have a full set of hair, but I only cut it about 2-3 times a year.

Other things that have occurred to me: I don't often have the money to go get my hair cut, so that's definitely a factor. But I think even if I did, I would still only do it every few months. I really like the way my hair looks when its cut. I like catching myself in the mirror and thinking "damn, I look hot". If I kept my hair like that all the time, I would get used to it, and it wouldn't be special anymore.

2-3 times a year. In fact, I could really stand to get my ends trimmed now, it's just really hard to find the time.
04/04/2011
You guys rock! I am SO not alone here I usually cut my hair once a year because I chop it to a bob and then just let it grow. And, because I could never justify dropping the $75 every 6 weeks like my Mom and sister do!
04/04/2011
I average about once a year, right now I'm trying to grow it out so I've gotten it trimmed once in the last year and a half and it's still just past my shoulders.
I just have the problem that I've never found a hairstyle that I love, so I go in and ask them to cut it short and style it however they think'll suit my face. I've gotten some pretty horrid hair cuts that way, though

I cut my hair high and tight so I have to cut it every 3 weeks or else it starts to look like a fluffy mess.

sometimes i trim my own but when it comes to different cuts/styling i go 1-3 times a yr

Haha, I've gotten some pretty bad ones that way too. I like to go to the beauty schools and have the students do the cutting most of the time. For one it's a lot cheaper since they're students and learning and it takes for frigging ever most of the time, but it's also nice because the students haven't had a chance yet to decide that what they think will work best for you is better than what you've had for a while and are asking for. I've gotten worse haircuts from professionals that I've given specific instructions to and they didn't listen to a thing I said. And besides, it's really fun to watch the student's faces when you say "surprise me" lol.

My hair is fairly long (though not as long as I used to keep it) and very healthy, so I can get away with getting it cut every six to eight months or so. It grows fairly quickly and evenly, so it doesn't look lopsided or anything. Around six to eight months, it could use a little thinning out and reshaping though.
