Small things go into the dishwasher. If it's a pot, pan, or any other larger object it gets washed by hand

Handwasher over here. I have actually never used a dishwasher in my own home! I learned real quick as a teen to rinse! Always rinse when you're done with the dish, and cleaning them by hand is a breeeeze.

My dorm has a dishwasher, but I usually only use a couple dishes at a time, so I hand wash them.

I hand wash. It would take a while for me to fill up a dishwasher since it is only 2 of us.

some are handwashed if they cannot be put in the dishwasher or there aren't enough to fill it.

We use both. If something is really gross like a glass casserole dish after we made lasagna, we wash it by hand. Our water pressure is terrible because we have well water, so the dishwasher doesn't do a good job with really dirty dishes. Everything else goes into the dishwasher.

I use the dish washer about 65% of the time but the husband only uses it about 10% of the time.

We wash our dishes manually but finish em off in the dishwasher. The dishwasher isn't very powerful so it's more of a sanitizer than a washer lol
