Last night I was making Ramen noodles, when my hubby asked what I was making. I said "Ramen Noodles." Only he turned around and said Ramen different from me. So, how do you say it? Comment below if you say it different from the choices.

I say it more as "rah-min", which isn't quite "raw-men", so I said Other.

I say more like rah-min, too, but I did pick the first one.
My girlfriend's aunt calls it ray-men, though.
I always thought that if it was a single 'a' and didn't have anything to give it the "ay" sound after it, then you pronounced it like "ah" or "aw".

I say raw-men when I moved to southern Texas everyone would say ray-men. It made me laugh at first.
Random thought does anyone else go through stages where they love this stuff then hate it. I will go months eating it atleast once a week. Then go up to a year where I refuse to eat it. Just looking at it at the store makes me think blah.

I say Rah-min which I believe is the way it's actually pronounced. Not 100% on that. Hubby says "ray-men" if I remember correctly.

Ditto I had a friend who spoke Japanese and she corrected me numerous times until I said it right....she was joking but it was fun to learn a bit of the language.

I'd tend to pronounce it the way it kinda looks - rah-min.
02/20/2012
Rah-mehn.
Also, Maruchan FAQ.
"eh" and "ih" are very similar, almost identical, so I'd chalk it up to regional variances, but romanji has "e" pronounced as "eh".
also guide, "e" is like the "e" in the English "met".

Yes! Sometimes, I just can't seem to get enough of it and will eat and eat and eat it. And then, it's like the phase passes without a word and I don't want any of it anymore. Right now I'm in the stage where I don't really want it, but I think I can feel it coming back to me.

And that's so weird, I just saw this post. Last night I had a dream about making ramen (in the tub of all places) and it had molded. Yuck..
