cops, unless I am talking to the one who lives across the street. Then I call them Perv's. (Inside joke with him)

I just call them the cops. My husband said that truck drivers (He is a former driver) calls them smokey. He only used that term while driving.

My best friends dad is a cop, so I tend to avoid derogatory terms about them in general so that it doesn't accidentally slip out when I'm with her. She gets all offended like she's the cop.
