OMG I love zumba. As for does it work, like all exercise it all depends on everything else your doing like eating habits, sleeping well, drinking water, etc. But if combined with good eating habits which I did last summer I lost a lot of weight doing it about 5 times a week. It also all depends on the teacher (some do more aerobic than others). I mainly go just to be in decent shape and to get those endorphins running high.

I have before but not continuously. Two of my friends are certified instructors though. I didn't really enjoy it, I'm not coordinated enough.

I get a good enough work out at work. Don't use anything else to help stay in shape.

I haven't tried it and probably won't. I'm not much of a dancer.

Yes. I used to go religiously twice a week, but there was a time conflict, so I stopped going. I never really lost weight with it, but it did help me maintain. When I stopped, I gained weight rapidly and am now working on getting it back off.

Yes, what Hillys said is very true. It depends on how hard you wanna push yourself. I did the videos at home so I'd sometimes do it multiple times a day. And when I started getting bored with the routines I took the moves that worked best for me and did them to my own music, and I liked using hand weights with it too.

I got results pretty fast and my stamina definitely increased. I love dance and think it's one of the best ways to exercise, it just makes you feel good all over. I highly recommend it!

I have done it only for a couple classes, so I wouldn't know whether or not it works or how long it would take for you to start seeing results from it. But what I do know is that it is so super fun. It isn't hard to get through an hour long class as long as you have a bottle of water. Time just flies because you are having so much fun while you are doing it, but at the same time you can feel that you are getting a good workout simply because it will wear you out. It is also a very versatile workout with moves that can be altered for beginners and for the more advanced. I loved it while I done it, I just got busy with working and living in a small town there wasn't a whole lot of time options in the classes. What I also loved about it was that while it definately wore me out during the class, after the class was over I always had a burst of energy that made me feel so good and ready to go for the rest of the evening.

Agree with this. Although the class I was going to was a 90 minute class. Very very aerobic and I can absolutely attest to seeing results in like 4 weeks. I was doing this once a week, but I was also taking pole fitness conditioning classes at the same time as well. I hated myself some days, but you feel better afterwards.

Couldn't do it long enough to know how it worked, as the instructor moved, right when I started (Didn't mean to drive her off!) Anyway, it was a good, tough workout, for sure.

I've tried it but hate it too much to continue. My body doesn't like to coordinate itself well enough to dance like that.
