This happened with my only serious boyfriend, because of a considerable age gap between us(he was older) but also because he was a virgin too. It never wound up happening between us.

Yeah, and because that hasn't been a common thing in my life, I asked him about it later after we'd been together for a while, and he said it was due to wanting to make sure things didn't go to fast.
