I just recently learned this after visiting my doctor. Do you guys keep track of you water and caffeine intake?
For every one cup of coffee you drink, you loose two cups of water

I always keep tabs on my water intake because I used to always be severely dehydrated. I moved to a hot climate so I had to.

I don't really drink much coffee or water ... so I'm ok right?
07/28/2012
I drink lots of coffee, but it's not daily. I also drink lots of water, so I think I'm safe!

I rarely drink coffee. I drink water, but not 8 glasses a day. I would be running to the bathroom all the time!

I'm pretty sure this - as well as the 8 glasses of water a day - is a myth.
EDIT: Yeah. Myth.
3. Coffee is a potent diuretic.
False. It’s true the stimulant effect of coffee can act as a slight diuretic, however the overall volume of water you consume while enjoying your cup of coffee will more than make up for the small amount lost in your urine. link

07/28/2012
Didn't know that, but I usually only drink one or two cups of coffee maybe 6 out of 7 days a week.
I drink about 4-6 cups of straight water a day and probably twice that in things like tea or Crystal Light.
