I put my feet up on the dashboard, curl one/both up under me, or just cross my legs. It doesn't seem to bother my husband, but as a teen or even now if I am in the car with my mom it bugs her.
Feet on the dashboard

I love too can't beat it.

i'm pretty tall, so i don't see this as plausible in my mazda3

My grandmother always disliked it, my mother never minded.

I have NEVER done this or even thought about it. Why would you..!?!?

Something I noticed yesterday while driving around with my fiance, I almost always seem to end up putting my feet on the dashboard if I'm not driving. I'm not sure why, although I always have a hard time letting my feet just sit still and dangle towards the ground (even as I write this I'm sitting cross-legged in a computer chair), so maybe that's where it comes from. I think the only time I don't put my feet up is when my shoes are wet/dirty. What about the rest of you?

My partner hates feet so sometimes he gets annoied. lol

I've never done this, and I don't know anyone who puts their feet on the dashboard. I never really understood why people do this unless it's a long drive. If I want to stretch my legs, I'll push the seat all the way back.
My biggest concern for feet-on-dashboard people is what if there's a car accident? They're going to have two broken legs. :/

Nope not for me. I do see it all the time though.

I don't ever do this, and neither does my partner.

I always have my feet up. I sit with them under me or cross legged most of the time. I rarely have my feet on the ground the way you are "supposed" to sit.

My legs are too long for this in his car. I will take my sandles off if it's the summer time and a long trip, but for the most part no.
03/10/2013
I don't recall either of us ever doing this unless we're on a long trip and need to stretch out.

I've never done it, and I'd hate to be injured like this if a crash were to happen. I prefer sitting the normal way.

Because it's comfortable, that's why.

I used to do this more when I was younger & the dashes were styled differently than today. I would never do it in someone else's car unless I had permission, but probably wouldn't even ask.
I only do it on long car trips when changing positions helps. I also cross my legs at the knee, cross them tailor fashion, sit on one or another leg, or pull my knees to my chest. I never would do any of that with shoes on.
03/10/2013
Neither of us do.
03/10/2013
I had a friend in college who would not allow anyone to put their feet on the dash. She said in the event of a wreck it would be extremely dangerous.
03/10/2013
Only if I'm the passenger, and it's warm weather, and I'm comfortable with the driver, and there is relatively low traffic. (oh and when I do, I do it barefoot)
03/10/2013
I really only do when I'm comfortable enough with the person, and if I do it's bare or socks. Never shoes.

Only if I can take my shoes off and have it just be my bare or socked feet up there.
03/11/2013
Yeah, I put my feet on the dash quiet often.
03/11/2013
My feet always end up the dash, if the trip is longer the 15 mins. When I was younger I'd put my foot up on the dash while I was driving a stick. Mainly on long stretches of highways and freeways.
03/11/2013
I like doing it on road trips or long car rides
03/11/2013
it actually kind of grosses me out a bit when I'm driving down the highway and see other people's feet in the windows!
I'm prissy, I admit it!

It feels comfy but I don't do it if there are other cars around. I don't think it would be a good idea to have my feet up there during an accident.
