I've always been curious who is open with their family about EF and/or their sex toy usage. And if so, how do they feel about it? Answer the poll and tell me how your family feels in the answers below.

My mother and father finally know that my husband and I use sex toys. It came up in conversation with my aunt, and she opened her big mouth to them thinking they already knew. They totally aren't okay with it. They find it to be a bad thing because they are strict catholics, and their upbringing was a lot different. They almost see using sex toys as being unfaithful to one another as husband and wife.

I dont think that it is my familys buisness, but i think its great that some people can be close

I don't find it to be any of my family's business either. There's a few people I've been close enough to tell (like my aunt, who opened her mouth not knowing how my parents are). But I sort of wish that they would see eye to eye with me, or at least let me be. I'm married for pete's sake. I think it should be my choice. But at the moment they wont even speak to me.

I'm sorry they're acting that way. That's totally unfair and bizarre. You're a grown woman, you have a right to use whatever toys you want.

As for me, my parents don't know and I want to keep it that way. They wouldn't go to the extent of shaming me (that was reserved for the premarital sex I engaged in!) but they would be disgusted and make me feel bad.

My parents were the same. When I was dating my husband, and we were about 18 years old, they found out we had had sex. It was my husband's first time. I'm the only one he's ever done things with. But he was the 4th man I had sex with, and probably the 6th man I had "done stuff" with. I was a teenager who thought love was sex... Stupid me. Anyhow, they knew about the other few guys and to them, it was their last straw. They shamed me back then the same way they're doing it now.

They are disgusted. They've told me that. They say it "isn't natural" and isn't what God intended for me. I don't see this as any sort of sin. I am married and it's not premarital. My husband is okay with it and so am I. Even if I wasn't married, it still seems fine to me. It's healthy to have sexual pleasure, and if I could have gone back I would have ignored all those boys and owned a vibrator!

This is a personal issue for my husband and I, not my family. One person knows, however, she doesn't care. I am not hiding it as much as guarding our right to privacy.

My family knows i use then.in very open sexually.hell for my birthday one year my mother whos a prude got me a gift certificate to our local porn store.i was so proad of her for walking in there just too make me happy

Noone in our families know I use sex toys to supplement in the bedroom. My hubby showed his mom the black magic super bullet one day because he was massaging his back with it when she came over, but she just thought it was a back massager. She was clueless to the fact it can be used as a sex toy.

I wouldn't be embarassed to talk to them about it if the conversation came up, but we don't talk about our sex lives.

My mom knows we use toys but not that we have a large collection. She doesn't know I do reviews. She's always thought my toys were cool and asked me what was good and such. I don't tell her about reviewing simply because she'd look up my reviews and I don't need her knowing every detail of my orgasms.

My family knows and thinks it is hilarious. They call me the rubber dick queen! I show my mom all my beautiful glass toys, metal toys, and any other one that is pretty. My dad thinks it is hilarious that I got my hubby to do some videos and they have even seen them. I try to tell my mom that she needs to open her mind into this kind of stuff and really learn to enjoy everything she can, but she won't.

my family does not know about EF. I don't talk to my mom and my Dad has passed away. My sister and I don't talk much and my brother wouldn't be interested in my sex toys/life.

I would assume they know since facebook disregarded my partitions and announced my like list to everyone in my family on facebook >.<

I don;t really care what they think or really know since we don't have any contact with them.

My family has no idea, and it's none of their business. I know they would do nothing but shame me and talk about me amongst themselves and treat me as though I was doing something shameful and disgusting. Knowing that I own a vibrator would be enough for them to treat me like trash, and act like I have a scarlet letter on my back. No need for them to know. I don't care what they do with themselves or others sexually, there is no need for them to know my business.

My family is very open. My sister and her husband know. My sister who is a bit of a prude finds it funny but will never try anything from the site. I've teased her about getting her a gift certificate for her birthday on several occasions! Her husband on the other hand is fascinated by it. He has read all my reviews and I think he secretly wants me to get them a gift certificate!

I also have tons of cousins who all know. They all find it pretty neat.

I believe some things should be kept out of family conversation but if they're really laid-back about that sorta thing then more power to you. I'm sorry your parents are so against what you and your partner do in private.

My mom knows because she found a vibrator but she only knows about the one. I don't tell and I'm not sure really how anyone else would react. I would be comfortable telling two of my aunts if they asked or cousins (female).
One of my fiance's aunts and uncle knows and we were just showing them this site last night. But they are really laid back and open/non judgmental. I think both of my grandmas would probably be "disappointed" and the one would tell me I'm a "sex addict" because I make perverted jokes with my mom nd she hears and says I'm obsessed with sex... and my dad would probably say I have something wrong with me lol. But honestly I wouldn't care if they thought I was weird or something if anyone found out but it would be awkward.

Never seen this many answers to a question!!! Oh..and my family only knows since when visiting, my mother in law decided to clean up the house and found our million toy stashes. She giggled and said "I have never owned THAT many toys"...which made us feel great. SHE is human too. Go figure.
