Does breastfeeding in public offend you?

No at all, people need to relax. It's just feeding the baby...

Wondering if you have ever breastfed with that attitude or even have children. Judgy McJudgington much?

I agree with the powder room idea, i think that you should have the right to breast feed whenever it is necessary, but yeah cover yourself with a blanket like most women do.

Personally, I wouldn't do it where people eat since I know some people get offended. However, it doesn't bother me.

I believe it is perfectly fine and NATURAL and that's how it's SUPPOSED TO BE. But, be aware of others around you. I think it is most appropriate to put a light blanket over it because I know not everyone wants to see it.

It doesn't bother me, but I think some women should be very cautious of where they do it.

I don't think it matters. If you don't want to see tits, then don't fucking look. The world doesn't just fucking belong to you. Yea, there should be etiquette, but if you're eating then why can't your kid eat? Just because they nurse?

It's immature to think that people shouldn't nurse and that it's disgusting just because you think there's something unnatural about human bodies and babies eating.

Grow up.

I tried to nurse my daughter in public, but she wouldn't have it, covered or not. I did once or twice give some random strangers a peep show while we nursed in the back seat of the van.

It's absolutely confusing and disappointing to me that we have come so far away from what's natural, normal and HUMAN. We are MEANT to breastfeed, bottles and formula were originally intended for those who for whatever couldn't or for medical reasons...not to replace and over-ride nursing (Side note; I had to wean to formula, so I have nothing against formula feeding mamas!!) but they have become the preferred choice for those who don't want to see babies doing what they're inherently meant to do - nurse.

There are about 800 things grown adults do that disgust me every single time I go to a restaurant, but a nursing baby does not disgust or offend me what so ever, covered or not. Everyone has to eat and nursing mama's and kids shouldn't be punished because they're following what they're biologically programmed to do. Nursing my daughter for those few precious months was one of the most incredible things I have ever done - and I will do it loudly and proudly with #2 (if babe doesn't take after their shy big sister, that is!). If someone is disgusted by it, they're free to leave or turn the other way.

Many places have nursing rooms or mothering rooms - but they're for the mothers comfort, not the comfort of the other patrons of where ever. If someone can plunk down in a chair in the middle of a food court and give a baby a bottle, then other mothers are just as entitled to nurse their babies in the very same chair.

I am totally "eh, whatever" on this issue. Moms should do whatever they and their baby is comfortable with (whatever that may be) without issues!

Oh boy, let me guess, they made the excuse that she brought in "outside drinks"? I bet they would pull that they would only want the child to be drinking McDonalds milk in their establishment.

Breastfeeding in public does not bother me, but it does not necessarily mean that it is okay to show your tits to everyone around you. Some women are so freaking proud of being mothers (like it is rocket science or something) that they have no respect for others and refuse to cover up. That does bother me.

It doesn't bother nor do I find it beautiful, but I think she had a right to protesting and they didn't have a right to throwing her out. I don't know how it can be disgusting, she's just using her body one way it was intended to be used and it's not like you don't see unrealistic boobs everyday in ads.
So, you see boobs everyday, what's the problem? The part about feeding the baby? Then they'd have to throw out people who feed their babies other ways, too, and goddamn it's McDonald: sometimes bad for health, but still for children, students and family.
Now, they probably threw her out because they thought other people thought she was disgusting in what she was doing, but imagine them doing that to other persons for different reasons (throwing an homeless person out because they "are disgusting" despite them paying and not bothering anyone? someone trans*? someone who didn't shave their legs?) so you can understand how problematic it is.

I picked other- just just depends for me. I think women should be able to do it in public IF they are covered and the breast can't be seen exp in a place with people trying to eat. You can easily just carry a blanket with you to cover or even wear those bras that detach from the nipple and you can put the baby under your shirt. I don't think breast feeding is sexual but if you're in a place that you wouldn't normally flash people then don't do it, baby or not.
Also in a fast food place you can just easily go out to your car or go into a bathroom at least. Why do it out in front of people trying to eat? Even if you don't find something gross someone else might and I think it's just common decency to cover yourself up.
