Does anyone else's dog EAT their sex toys?

Contributor: ToyGurl ToyGurl
So far my dog has eaten my two favorite vibrators (among many others - these are just my favorites):

Je Joue MiMi

We Vibe We-Vibe II

I was SO pissed when I found my dog eating my toys, especially the We-Vibe II because it was expensive. I'm curious if this happens to other people?

I keep mine all locked up in my closet. She never goes in there. That would absolutely suck though! I'm sure you were fuming! I know I would have been.

I was definitely upset! I keep all mine locked up as well but when I'm done washing the toy I'll let it sit on the dresser so it dries completely. Not for too long.. maybe ten minutes. That's when he goes in for the kill!

My dog would definitely do this if he could get his paws on them. He shows an interest in them, but since he is a small dog it is easy for me to keep them out of his reach. Even if he did get a hold of one I think he would lose interest very quickly since it isn't actually food, he only likes to play with plush toys.

I have had this happen before, lucky for me it wasn't one of my expensive toys. I also found my cat chewing on one of my toys the other day. I have learned nothing is safe in my house around my damn cat lol

yes! well, he tried at least. i put him on my bed after I got done with a session and left one of my bullets under the sheets. When I come back, he slobbered all over it. The sleeve had to be thrown out; I was mad at him, but luckily it was pretty cheap so it wasn't a big deal.

I would have been furious if he ever a We- vibe or a Mimi; they're so expensive and just really nice.

Nope. But my cats are awfully interested in my toys. They would probably find some way to play with/tear up my toys if I left them where they could get them.

I've never had an animal express interest in my sex toys.

Most dogs will chew on anything rubbery, especially if it has a musky smell to it. So I would imagine that if your sex toys live on your bed or out in the open somewhere and your dog has access to these areas too, their days are numbered.

I've never had a dog do this simply because I've never given a dog the opportunity. But I was house sitting for someone with cats once, and those cats drove me nuts playing with rope and floggers. I had no where to store them but my suitcase and the cats could jump EVERYWHERE, so I had to be careful about taking them out, using them immediately, and then putting them right back and zipping up the bag. Not the most pleasant experience. One more reason I'm never getting cats ever.

Heck yes. Has happened many a time....but it is our fault, not the dogs. Dog is doing what comes natural and toys have your most intimate scent on them.

Dog will also eat crotch out of my panties if I pull them off and don't put them out of reach when rushing for the bed and she JUST ate a hole in our NEW and EXPENSIVE sheets....why? Because we made love and he dripped a bit onto the sheets, before we put down our Liberator Thro (which comes off the bed and goes right in the wash after play is over).

Dogs will be dogs. Just got to watch access to your toys.

From what I've seen an heard, dogs seem to love eating anything that smells like their owners. Socks, underwear, etc. When I was a teen, my dog got into the bathroom waste basket and ate some used Kotex pads!

...This is why I'm a cat person. Dogs will chew on absolutely anything! Cats are more manageable and most of them could care less what their human does. ...They do have a strange fondness for hopping onto the bed though. Which, while awkward, is not nearly as annoying.

My dog isn't interested in my toys. He's really picky and only has one favorite soft squeaky ball that he likes. Besides, there's no chance for him to even sniff my toys, I wash and put them away right after I'm done.

My sister's dog got into my room and chewed up my O2 dildo. I was pretty upset. Especially since it bypassed all the cheaper shoes and cat toys laying around, and actually had to put effort into pulling the dildo out from where I had wedged/stashed it.

Mine eat anything and everything (TV remotes, legos, fertilizer spreaders, aluminum cans, etc, etc), so if they found one they probably would.

I hope dogs don't develop a taste for any residue left on the toys.

I can't tell if this dietary preference makes your dog incredibly sex positive or incredibly prudish...On the one hand, maybe it's sex positive that he LIKES the toys enough to eat them. On the other hand, maybe he's eating the toys so you can't enjoy them. Tough call, really.

My cat ate one of my jelly toys. I felt rather vindicated when she threw it up later that night. (Hey, I know I'm a bad person for thinking that, but it was my only toy at the time!)

have a rabbit, rabbits chew...so if I let her anywhere near my toys, they would be dead!

My rabbit killed my rabbit! Would sound sort of ironic, no?

I don't have a dog that chews on my toys, but my ferret sure does! Actually, I have two that like to nom on my toys, but one doesn't have free range of the house.

I first learned my little darling had a thing for sex toys when I reached into my drawer and found nothing by my hard egg vibe and a little hard plastic g-spot vibe. I was pissed, though they were all cheap-o jelly vibes. I was more upset when she decided to drag the toys out, one-by-one, for my mother to find (For the other one, I accidentally left a toy unattended in the living room, where she roams, for five minutes. Came back, and it was sticking out between the couch cushions, chewed to crap.)

I now have a locking toybox. As long as I remember to latch it properly, the toys are fine. And if the suction cup toys don't fall off the window while drying.
