I know I should but I am just too lazy

Do you unplug the toaster, (or other item ), after each use?

We unplug everything but the oven, fridge, alarm clock, tv and computer. Even the lights are shut off in the rooms but the kitchen.

If I'm not using a certain appliances or any other, I unplug them after I'm done using.

Yes I do this as well. My can opener, toaster and blender are all unplugged. If we did not use the microwave a lot that be unplugged as well.

Lol. Always. I unplug the toaster and all other items when I'm done using them (chargers, etc.) except my flat iron.

I don't see any difference between that & locking my car doors, neither can hurt, but not doing them can potentially leave you open to problems. I also unplug all the small appliances such as my Foodsaver & my stick blender even though they are often out on the counter.
Does anyone else unplug their toaster? How about your coffee machine? Anything else you unplug after every use that many people leave plugged in? less

I use power strips to cut the power to various appliances.

My kitchen is tiny, so I can't store any of my appliances on the counter top. So yeah, I have to unplug my toaster after each use. I don't use it often anyway.

The toaster and the can opener, yes, because I'd heard that leaving them plugged in could potentially cause a fire if the springs wear down (so they'd start on their own). Everything else, no.

I try to unplug little kitchen appliances. More so to keep the counters clear than to conserve energy. But it does get tedious.

I tend to for stuff I barely use, so I can store them easier
04/01/2013
Nope. It bugs me when someone does and I don't notice.

I unplug it, but only because I live with my mom and she's big on unplugging the toaster when it's not in use.
04/02/2013
I keep everything plugged in, i honestly don't think that much about it.
04/02/2013
I leave pretty much everything plugged in
04/02/2013
Nope! I am awful about unplugging things!

As silly as it is, I unplug most things that I can & are easily unplugged. Therefore, the microwave above the stove stays plugged in, as do the major appliances. TVs, lamps & computers. But anything else, such as small appliances, get unplugged

I dont tend to I normally don't think about it.

I have never unplugged the toaster, nor has anyone I have ever lived with. I do try to be mindful about unplugging somethings since learning about how some item use power even when turned off.
05/07/2013
Yes, because we actually put it in a cabinet for storage.
05/07/2013
I unplug my toaster and some other stuff I don't use often.

I only unplug my air conditioner window unit. Everything else stays plugged in.

I don't leave any minor appliances plugged in in the kitchen. The entertainment system is on a power strip that gets turned off when the system is turned off. I'm bad about unplugging my fan and my toothbrush charger, though.

I leave it all plugged in :s

My son unplugs it after use, but no one else does. So, it really depends on who used it last.
All other small kitchen appliances get unplugged after every use.
