I've always thought almost exclusively in images, not words, called visual thinking. Until recently, I had no idea that most people don't do that as their primary mode of thought.
Do you think in words or images?

Great question. Hubby and I both think in words. Makes it amazing to contemplate how our pets think?

Mostly words but when I can't think of the word I want I get pictures.

Mostly words, but sometimes pictures as well.

combo of both

I'm not sure what I do. If I think about it I think in words when I have to conjure up things...but in order to comprehend something, I need a visual or things written down...so maybe both I guess?

I do a mix of both...pretty equally.
Sometimes when you're thinking something your brain can't fully comprehend it's easier to picture it so you can understand it better.

I do both but mostly think in words. I was very tempted to check off the Llamas option though lol.

Mostly images except when trying to spell something.

Mostly images--I think that is why I work so well as a graphic designer. I can see what I am doing prior to doing it on the screen. I do have a semi-photographic memory as well. If I am thinking if an article or picture in a magazine all I have to do is close my eyes and 'see' the page.

I do both about equally.

I'm not really talking about how you learn or comprehend, but actually what goes on in your mind. For instance, a person may think the words, "I need to go do the dishes." Instead of thinking any words, I see a picture of my kitchen instead, no words attached. I just know what it means.

Both, equally.

I think in a fair mix of both.

Interesting question, love the last choice.

More images than words.

Yes. This exactly. I'm flabbergasted that other people don't think like that.

I suffer for Dyslexia, so words (and in particular, spelling) has always been a struggle for me, so I think in images mainly. My husband is the same.

I thought everyone thought in pictures kinda like having a movie in your mind. If I need to spell something I see words but it's like a movie in a sense. Hmmm I can't even think in words only.

I tend to think more in concepts than either! I also tend to remember things as video-memories, but when I'm thinking (not remembering) and not about concepts, I tend to think in words.
11/14/2012
I do both, but use words more.
11/14/2012
Both equally.

Probably think mostly in words but sometimes picture things in my mind.

Almost completely in words.

Mostly Words

Images

Both, but more so with words.

Images. Especially when whatever I'm trying to resolve is complex.

I find it weird that people think in words. The concept is just so foreign to me
