I still have a land-line phone and cell
Do you still have a land-line telephone?
06/14/2012
Have a VoIP line for my fax
06/14/2012
I only have a cell phone. My Landline kept getting solicitors calling constantly.
06/14/2012
We only have one, because our security system company requires it.
06/14/2012
Nope, we had one but got rid of it. The land-line was consistently being hammered by telemarketers and collectors, for my brother not us, all the time anyway.
06/14/2012
No land-line phones here. Only cellphones.
06/14/2012
We rarely use it - but we still have it.
06/14/2012
Yes, I do. We live in the country now so I'm on dial up

Daughter and her hubby in med school don't have a land line. My old parents don't either. With CELLS now having GPS coordinates for emergency services and unlimited free long distance....who needs a Land Line???

I do, but only because my work requires it. If they didn't, I would only have my cell.

06/18/2012

I go back and forth between wanting to get rid of it and not. Whenever I leave my number somewhere I go- do I really ant to give hem my home number? Them I turn around and go wait do I really want to give them the number I carry with me everywhere? With that reasoning a landline is a nice way to give yourself a little privacy. Oh and you can use an old school answering machine and hear our messages as you get them- though I'm sure you can probably do that with a smart one which I avoid because I lose them so fast

Um what $20 a year? I don't know where you live but my landline costs more than that a month!

Ah, yeah, it does require jumping a few impossibly-technical hoops of installation. After that's all done, paying only $20 a year for phone service (including long distance) made it worth it all.

I don't use one anymore, haven't for a few years. Just have my cell phone now.
06/19/2012
I use my parents landline which is nice at times but I generally use my cell phone.
06/19/2012
Do they still have those? lol I'm just joking, Haven't had a land line in years, we only use our cell phones. What is the need for one when you have two cell phones , who needs the extra bill

This is pretty much why we don't have a land line anymore either.
